Boutique Sardinian sleep with stunning Cala di Volpe views, lush gardens and two pools
Though it looks down on a bay full of luxury yachts on the nightclub-studded Costa Smeralda, this boutique hotel manages to be charming, unpretentious and peaceful, with just 48 rooms and suites on a verdant Sardinian hillside. The rooms — most with sea views — nod to Med design with whitewashed wood, hand-painted headboards and an airy white palette with pops of cobalt blue. The refined restaurant specializes in Mediterranean cuisine, and the piano bar's ocean views are so stunning, even locals frequent it at sunset.
In the Area
It's named for the area's white stone, but this hotel is really all about the sea — try a different beach each day, from pink-and-white Capriccioli to shallow, family-friendly Romazzino to the Aga Khan's favorite, the Spiaggia Del Principe Beach. At night, head to Porto Cervo for shopping in the Passeggiata (Prada and Cartier both have outposts here alongside local legend Cascella), followed by carousing in the clubs.
