How to Get There
This resort is very well laid out and the condos are extremely well appointed. The pools were excellent and the staff was friendly, helpful and eager to please. They had a lot of on site activities related to the local culture and did an excellent job of providing us will off site options to enjoy the visit.
This resort was wonderful. The staff was helpful and friendly. The property was very well maintained. Accommodation clean & very up to date. Loved the grill and picnic area outside. Pool & hot tub were clean and very nice. Cannot say enough good stuff about this place. Made our trip of a lifetime well worth it. Would highly recommend.
First, I will say that the resort was very nice and the people on-site were friendly and helpful.
Plenty of activities, both on-site and around the Island.
The room had a beautiful claw-foot jacuzzi tub which was one of my wife's favorite features. Unfortunately, the first evening there, my wife stepped out of the tub onto the provided mat, The mat slid, and the end result was that she ended up with four small fractures in her pelvis.
On-site staff was very caring and helpful, but they made the event known to corporate and we were quite disappointed with corporate's attitude about the incident. We acknowledged to them that we saw it as an unfortunate accident and were not planning to file any kind of formal claim, but their defensiveness was very off-putting. We suggested, based upon the height of the tub, that either a wall-mounted hand
rail or a non-slip mat would be an easy way to reduce this risk for other future guests. The response we received was that this accommodation exists in handicap accessible rooms and we were asked if we were staying in such a room. My wife is not handicapped, unless you consider being 5 foot 2 a handicap.
The injury basically limited my wife to very little movement, making our week in Kona less spectacular than we had planned. Rather than getting a follow up call from corporate to ask how she was doing, we simply got a call from an agency they had assigned to investigate the incident. Just very surprised at the coldness and poor customer service from a company like Wyndham.
Wonderful location, big rooms, big kitchen and bathroom with two sinks and large shower, huge terrace ald nicely and thoughtfully equipped and decorated. Swimming pools, jacuzzis, BBQ possibilities and self serve herb gardens. Entertainement programms, sunset socializing, sport options. Highly recommendable. Would love to come back!
First encounter was the registration desk. Professional, polite and personable. Next was the concierge desk to get the parking permit. Comprehensive and knowledgeable staff promoted various activities in a friendly, down-home way. Nice job, y'all. We motored up to the unit. They honored my 2-week in advance request to get an upper unit. Nice kitchen, two bedrooms with baths, laundry, lanai with nice furniture and a peek at the ocean. Right on Ali'i Drive, the main drag of Kailua-Kona. We'd stay here again.
