How to Get There
The Blackhawk hotel was both beautiful and convenient to our convention.
Our accommodations were perfect to our specifications and warm and cozy as well.
The staff worked efficiently and were knowledgeable about the surrounding area.
On a whole I would rate my stay as an overall 10!
Thank you very much
Child attends St Ambrose and we spent the weekend here. Screwed up out reservation, found us a room, and we were upgraded to a suite. Very very nice room looking the Mississippi. Two bedroom, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and laundry. Room was clean, nice, and service tremendous. highly recommend,
I stayed at this hotel three nights for a two day "Thru the Stones" convention. The hotel opens right onto the walkways and sky walks adjacent to the River Center Convention venue, which allows you to conveniently come and go from the hotel to the convention without ever going outside.
The lobby is beautiful and the bar, a coffee shop and a small restaurant are all there in lovely surroundings, and the comfy seating area in the lobby is very nice. The elevators can be a little slow if there are larger than normal numbers of people coming and going to their rooms, but it wasn't really too bad.
The King Deluxe room I had was well appointed, comfortable, and very nice with big bright windows looking out towards the river. I especially loved the large soaker tub and the tv in the bathroom mirror, to relax and unwind. The King bed was extremely comfortable, but the bottom sheet had become loose at the corners and tended to come off during the night which bothered me when I would come into contact with the plastic mattress cover! I think the staff should be more attentive to this in order to switch out with newer sheets.
The little coffee pot with the coffee pods was very nice, and the coffee was very good. This saved me an early morning trip to the Coffee Shop downstairs. The refrigerator was nicely stocked with all kinds of drinks and the snacks in the basket offered plenty of choices, as well.
All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel as a very convenient and comfortable choice as a place to stay in the Quad Cities.
The day we arrived, the hotel had had some sort of massive staffing shortage (flu?) and so our room was not ready even at 6 pm. The check in agent was as nice as he could be and was extremely responsive and helpful on what had clearly been an extremely difficult day for the staff--the guests checking in before us were downright abusive. They offered drinks coupons and were doing all they could to make it as good as possible. The room that we got into was charming, with a great jacuzzi bathtub (it was wonderful!). The renovation of the hotel is glorious. The meeting rooms were very functional and the meeting food good. I'd go back here any time.
This is a very elegant hotel, and the renovation is beautiful. The staff are all very friendly, and try very hard to accommodate us. I enjoyed our view of the river, the marble floors and columns, the comfortable rooms and large bathroom. Wifi was very good. Whitney is so nice! She was a big help with our check in process. We even extended our stay an extra day. Everyone we interacted with were excellent and seemed to enjoy being here. That says a lot for management. Come check it out!
