How to Get There
I stayed at the Oberoi for 3 days in January - I had been travelling with my family and while they went out to Lembongan I was on my own. I’ve never travelled or stayed in a hotel on my own, so I was feeling very lonely but wow.......The Oberoi was such a wonderful, relaxing and welcoming hotel. I absolutely loved it. The staff treat their guests like royalty. Poolside, the staff set up your towels on the lounges, bring you ice water, supply sunscreen, cold water spray bottles and cold face towels, then position your umbrella to suit your needs. Each day they offer afternoon tea and a traditional show, there’s a selection of fruit, handmade biscuits and snacks. I didn’t eat at any of the restaurants as Seminyak has a wonderful selection of restaurants. The grounds surrounding the hotel are stunning and so peaceful - perfect after returning from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak. This isn’t a hotel I’d bring my family to, great for couples who like exceptional service and peaceful surroundings.
We had the pleasure to spend 4 nights in this incredibly beautiful and iconic hotel in a traditional balinese style. The location is fabulous. The beach is stunning. The whole hotel area is so beautiful, is very big and green and so quiet and so relaxing. However, just a few steps away, there are plenty of shopping opportunities, and bars, and restaurants. We planned to check several restaurants but finally, we stayed in the hotel and enjoyed the outstanding kitchen of the restaurant Kura Kura, where Enrico Wahl, a Michelin Star chef, is providing culinary creations to die for. Not only is he a divinely gifted cook/artist but also one of the most lovely and interesting persons we have met. In general, the whole team has been so extraordinary nice and friendly and made us feel like friends instead of guests. We are in the lucky position to have been able to stay in a couple of beautiful hotels but it is not usual to get an invitation from the General Manager and we really enjoyed the whole atmosphere and conversation a lot. Thank you so much John, Enrico, and the whole team who made our stay wonderful and unforgettable. When we will come back to Bali, we definitely will come back "home" to the Oberoi.
Everything you read is true, the Oberoi really is an Oasis in the Seminyak jungle. This was our first trip to Bali and I’m sure we would not have enjoyed it as much without such a beautiful hotel to call home. From breakfast on the beach to sunsets by the pool, this is a magic place.
Wow was this service over the top. In our 5+ Bali hotels no staff except the Oberoi came by and cleaned my sunglasses while I sat by the pool. The art deco pool was massive and so cool to walk from the beach to the pool. They also had a very well equipped fitness center. The room and bathroom were gorgeous and housekeeping delivering new pillows was a nice feature. It is convenient to walking to shopping and cute Seminyak eateries and coffee bars.
Older property but well maintained. On seafront. Staff all excellent. Food choice and quality faultless. Rooms are a good size with nice bathrooms. A complete oasis away from the noise. Note that the beach isn’t that great as it’s dirty, but you don’t need to go there. The pool is fab.
