Overview

An immaculate private-pool retreat surrounded by rice paddies and a short drive away from central Ubud

The Lowdown

The newly opened Sativa Villas sits pristine and hidden away by lush foliage in the heart of Ubud. Each spacious, luxurious villa is equipped with modern amenities, as well as a kitchen and dining area. Styled with chic, contemporary furnishings and large windows welcoming in bright sunshine, the villas offer an ambiance of calm and pure relaxation.
You’ll be in your own private tropical paradise, with each villa sitting in front of a beautiful pool and offering private gardens. Kept separate from other villas by towering hedges, these retreats allow you to luxuriate in private. Sativa Villas also has its own spa center and a much larger communal pool.
Staying at Sativa Villas also keeps you close to central Ubud. Just a five-minute drive away, past hills of paddy fields, the cultural center of Bali is perfect for getting to know the island better. Walk through the mystical monkey forest, try the famous “dirty duck” and “babi guling” – basically crispy duck and a pork-based rice dish – or take time to explore the treasure trove of cultural landmarks.

Stunning villa in beautiful surrounds

We absolutely loved our stay at Sativa. We stayed in the one bedroom villa with it's own beautiful back garden and pool, and right from the moment we entered down a little secluded walkway with beautiful foliage all around us, we started to relax. Our apartment was huge and came with a day bed where we spent time reading and relaxing, a large covered verandah we we sat and ate and even did some work, an outdoor kitchen and of course private pool and pool lounges which got a thorough workout. The staff were incredibly helpful and can't do enough for you and we felt completely safe and secure even though we were a little out of town. We hired a scooter which meant we could get everywhere easily and the staff organised this for us, however there is also a free shuttle and a driver (for a small charge). Would definitly stay again and we had a peak at the larger apartments and would love to try one of these with family! Can totally recommend,

Very nice, unobtrusive service in a good location. Well appointed villa and an excellent pool fence installed at our behest. Komang, the manager was very approachable. Breakfast wasn't brilliant, but that's a minor consideration in the grand scheme of things. If I were to visit Ubud again, I'd choose to stay with Sativa.

Our own private paradise

From the minute you arrive until you reluctantly have to leave, you are treated like royalty. This is a beautiful villa on the outskirts of Ubud and I cannot recommend it more highly. It is beautifully appointed, the staff were welcoming, attentive and very accommodating. Breakfasts were delicious and we had the chef cook for us on our last evening. We had a private early morning yoga session by the pool and massages under the trees. There was a shuttle service into town and other places to eat and drink within walking distance if you desired.
