Overview

A luxe Balinese villa on the jungle-covered slopes of the Ayung River, with breakfast, a lunch and much more

The Lowdown

Nandini Bali Jungle Resort & Spa Ubud is a dreamy destination located on the slopes of the Ayung River Valley in Indonesia’s most famously tranquil region. Bali, the setting for much of Eat, Pray, Love, is undoubtedly one of Southeast Asia’s prime islands for unbridled relaxation and romance, and there’s no better place to base yourself here than in a blissfully luxe villa.
You can enjoy this paradise however you want to. Relax with a book amid palm trees and frangipanis, do some laps in the hillside swimming pool, or soothe yourself in an outdoor Jacuzzi. You can also take full advantage of the resort’s restaurant, spa with tempting massage pavilions and the handy resort monorail.
If all that taking it easy gets you itching for a bit of action, the resort provides a complimentary shuttle service to Ubud’s town center, a 20-minute drive from the hotel. Here, you can get up close and personal with the culture of this bustling market town, walk around the host of boutique stores or dine on an assortment of local cuisines.

Location

Ubud is almost in the middle of the island of Bali. Situated closer to the mountains than the coast, you’ll experience breathtaking rice-paddy scenery and slightly less humidity than elsewhere on the island. Ubud is somewhat of a spiritual center, so you’ll be among a wealth of holistic wellness options. You’ll also be centrally located for day trips around the island. Watch a traditional Kecak dance in the Pura (temple), practice yoga at the famous Yoga Barn or try a multitude of local dishes as well as organic delights in international restaurants. Head to the Ubud Monkey Forest with some bananas, and wait for hilarity to ensue. Don’t miss a day trip to Kuta, Uluwatu or Seminyak’s beaches.

A beautiful place to stay

We stayed in October 2019 and this is possibly the most beautiful valley ever. The resort is lovely. We stayed in one of the new suites which was perfect. I hope that increasing the number of rooms, as the extension development is ongoing, will not impact on the intimate style and high quality of service we received.
The food was exceptional and the service attentive.
You must try a spa massage - this is bliss. And the early morning yoga was great.
The pool is lovely and laying back in a cabana overlooking the valley is unforgettable.
Be prepared for the steps. There are a lot, but you are on the side of a valley, so don't be surprised.
We ate and drank exclusively at the hotel and it worked out to about £70 per day. We were happy to pay this for the quality of food and the experience we received.
This is a blissful, relaxing, out of the way piece of heaven.

Amazed and Spellbound!

From our entry itself, the experience was MAGICAL!
We were welcomed warmly and then given refreshinG WELCOME DRINKS By the greenery, everyone was so friendly , interactive and respectful!
Then we were also given a FREE 15 minute foot massage each which was really relaxing!
After that there is free tea and snacks near greenery from 4pm to 5:30pm, they have some good snacks and ginger tasting tea.
When we went to our room we were just amazed by how beautiful it was, bathroom so big and balcony a dream come true with jungle , beautiful trees where birds are chirping and sun is setting and rising beautifully and there is a swing to enjoy there peacefully.
Bath products are beautiful. We got free bottled water everyday how many times we asked and whenever we asked any room service we got within 2 minutes!!
Also got 2 small round chocolates every night as room service which was a sweet gesture!
The pool is very beautiful and surprisingly open 24 hours! So we went to the pool in both day time and late night when we could gaze at the beautiful star filled sky being in the lukewarm pool along with our drinks.
The breakfast is in the open which is really pleasant, one can feel smooth breeze throughout. Breakfast has lot of variety - many type croissants , pancakes, All English breakfast, serial, omelette station, their noodles which is yummy, fruit, sandwiches, juices, yogurt etc.
Last but not the least, there is a tram/gondola which Is a substitute of an elevator, it gives a rustic feel and thrill and takes us down and up to different levels in the resort.
Lovee the experience, thankyou for the polite staff which made us experiece superb!!!
And yes its true, the stairs are many from reception onwards To your room and everywhere else so pls do not bring elderly here. Only fit people!
Thankyou so much Nandini ???????? i will definitely stay here only if i Visit Bali next time
