Last day of Honeymoon trip
Reviewed 5 days ago

We actually tried a couple of Hotels in different area, but chose to stay in Kupu Kupu Jimbaran for the last night. We checked in late at around 10 pm, however the staff was so friendly and patient in explaining all the amenities. Among all, they provided a top service and even escorting us from the lobby to our room; their smiles left the most impression. The room was spacious, they gave us complimentary cake & Fruits. U can smell the nice L'Occitane frangance once u step in the Lobby. Breakfast was amazing, top quality - my husband and i enjoyed it very much. And rooms are the cleanest.

Last day in Bali

It was our honeymoon, and the hotel management booked their honeymoon suite for us, for our last night in Bali.
The hotel is magnificent, the breakfast was probably one of the best I ever had, and the staff was very nice.

Another great stay

We have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed it. This time we had a room facing the pool. The room was spacious , and the bathroom both large and very clean. I requested clean towels everyday .

Breakfast was good and had quite a variety.

We took the transport to the Beach club that was always there when we needed it. I can recommend this for anyone who has problems walking as my husband did.

Staff was polite and helpful.

Thanks to Yves the manager for making our stay so pleasant.

Lovely stay in Kupu Kupu Jimbaran
Reviewed 1 week ago

We stayed in the Kupu Kupu Jimbaran for 5 nights during September. Our sons stayed in a very spacious family room, we stayed in a suite.
The welcome was very friendly, basically the complete staff was very friendly and willing to help at any time.
Rooms were clean, with large bathrooms and comfortable beds.
OK, the hotel is in need of some maintenance, but work was ongoing while we were in the hotel.
The hotel had an Indonesian atmosphere, was cozy as it doesn't have that many rooms.
The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the beach, but the hotel also offers a free shuttle to a beach club. The beach club had sun beds, towels and a bar/restaurant.
The breakfast in the hotel was OK, with fresh pastries and muesli on request.
We enjoyed also a relaxing massage at the hotel spa.
The manager was very much present, which was a nice extra touch.

Small friendly hotel

We arrived here for one night between our international arrival and domestic flight to java the next day.

I was curious about it when I read the reviews by other guests. We got the number 18 room, where another guest on this forum described the situation. The room was very very spacious, a double bed, a sitting corner, a bath, a showerroom and a seperate toilet. Plenty more room between them.

Although the room and hotel had a luxurious atmosphere I must admit that it has seen better times. The bath in the room was broken (the plug didn’t work), we improvised ourself and alerted the manager to fix it. They already know that the bath causes troubles. The floor is a bit off level here and there.

In one of the other reviews they mentioned a bug problem, but we had none as far we could see. Also the crooked wood near the pool is being repaired at the time we were there. Maybe have a look at the shower too, that was spraying a bit to all sides (I forgot to mention this at the reception now I think about it).

The hotel has a warm welcoming lobby and also the upper pool outside is very (instagram) nice. The second pool at the ground level was ok. The view to the side of the hotel from that pool with the missing wood near the concrete enhanced a bit the “decay” state. Also the corridor with empty space was a bit weird. Although I don’t want to emphasize this to strongly.

The breakfast was certainly sufficient, fresh and enough, no complaints about that.

Overall if you spent just a day or two it’s ok, but I’m afraid if you stay here longer you’ll notice more the defects. So for me not 5 star worthy enough.

I write this after we visited 3 more 4 star hotels on Bali and Java to compare.
