We stayed 5 nights in this hotel and had a very nice vacation here.
The staff were friendly and very helpful ,the rooms are spacious ,clean with nice furniture. The spa experience was good but the breakfast buffet a little repetitive ,need more variation.
This is definitely not a 5 star hotel but the service was excellent,so ,worth a try to stay here

Mixed feelings
LondonWX2013

Stayed here for 4 nights in August. Mixed feelings about this hotel.

As many earlier reviewers pointed out, this is not a fancy hotel. We stayed in another modern 5-star hotel at Kuta before coming here. My heart sank when I saw the small lobby and old tiny lift. In my opinion, this is definitely not a 5-star hotel.

Having said that, I think the hotel is worth staying at. The room is spacious and clean. We stayed in a deluxe suite. High ceiling, wooden floor, big shower room. My daughter loved the duplex and “fancy bed”.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. I was initially disappointed this is not a beach-front hotel. But we can take the hotel buggy to and from the Jimbaran beach in 5 min.

We absolutely loved the beachfront breakfast (included). The bacon, pancakes and fresh pineapple juice were our favourite. In the morning, the ocean view was breathtaking.

We had relax dinners every night at restaurants by the beach. Then walking back to the beach club. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

Overall, if you are looking for a modern fancy beachfront hotel, there are better (and moe expensive) options. But Kupu Kupu has its unique charms and worth a try

Pretty disappointed

My partner and I stayed at Kupu Kupu Jimbaran from the 9th-13th of August.
My partner and I stayed at Kupu Kupu Jimbaran from the 9th-13th of August.

The room was massively spacious but I wished the the lights had a dimmer control because we felt that it was too dim. Ladies - pretty tricky to do your makeup in that super warm and dim lighting as well.

The hotel staff were very nice and well-mannered. Hotel breakfast ain’t great at all and need improvement. However, they do offer breakfast at the dining area downstairs and also by the Jimbaran Beach Club. Although we were entitled to free breakfast daily, we ended up on having it for one day by the beach as the staff communication was poor and got our order wrong.

Our room had an amazing shower area and also a massive bathtub which is the most disappointing part because there was absolutely NO hot water at all and the hotel/ technician couldn’t do anything about it despite several calls and direct feedback were made to them.

For a massive room size, I also think that the TV in the room was way too small to be sitting on the bed to watch and the distance was quite far.

There two pools - one by the dining area which is a small pool, it looked as if it was mouldy and had a lot of dried leaves in it (you wouldn’t wanna step in).
The other pool was a rooftop pool - it was nice and clean and you can sunbathe there too.

Gym was pretty much a “blah” as there wasn’t many options of equipment.

Spa - we tried the spa as the offered hotel guests a one-for-one promo. It was fairly okay. We were given a couple room, staff were chatting together while doing our foot bath and the spa room was a little stuffy. We wished that the massage oil was warm but it felt as though it was not a good quality oil (from our experience).

No introduction was done as to what type of oils were being used on us and the forms we filled in to highlight on which body areas to focus, our therapists did not bring us through neither did they follow what was on the forms. (Which defeats the purpose of filling them up, as my partner and I both had medical conditions that was highlighted across)

I am an avid user of L’occitane skin care, which was what enticed me to book this hotel in the first place. Expected way more from their spa experience and the quality of the property. They really need an upgrade and training.
