Alila Manggis candidasa true paradise
Reviewed 1 day ago

We stayed at Alila Manggis for 6 nights and it wasn't enough.
The place is located on the beach surrounding by lush and immaculate garden and palms trees.
From the minute we arrived we felt so well looked after. All staff was fabulous and so caring for my husband and I and our 4 years old son.
The breakfast was of the best I had in a hotel with a large variety of heathy and delicious food. I would also highly recommend the lunch and dinner menu at the restaurant. No need to go anywhere else as they offer both traditional Balinese and westerner food.
We felt in a paradise and would never recommend it enough.
We will definitely go back very soon again.
Thank you to all the staff at Alila Manggis.

Absolute paradise, an unforgettable experience

This is what I call true paradise! Driving up to East Bali is magical, venturing through the rice fields and being surrounded by lush greenery. Alila Manggis is also on another level of luxury, you instantly feel at home and a sense of relaxation that I have never experienced at another resort.
The pool is breathtaking, quite and relaxing, offering views of the ocean.
There is one restaurant however the food is excellent, a taste of East Balinese flavors. I stayed here for 3 nights and did not get bored with the restaurant, ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here.
I definitely recommend the Cooking Class, apparently it's the best in Bali and now I know why.... unbelievable experience.
The spa is exceptional, a huge range of spa treatments which I enjoyed everyday. They definitely employ the best of the best when it comes to their spa, probably the best massage I've ever had.
Alila Manggis is now my second home, I will be back!

Another stay in Paradise

Thank you very much to all the fantastic staff for another amazing stay! Everyone remembered our names, great service and so many beautiful smiles. Thank you Ibu Vera for the warm welcome. The SPA treatment was delightful, thank you Yanti and Sari (?) for treating us so well after the Mt. Batur hike.
Only improvement suggestion: it would be great if you would have a de-humidifyer machine to set-up on request.
Terima kasih banyak semuanya

Truly amazing experience.

This hotel is simply amazing! This was our second time at the hotel and it's even better than it was on our first stay! We arrived at Alila Manggis after a one hour transfer from our previous hotel near Ubud and received a really warm welcome plus a refreshing face spray, cold towel, and welcome drink.

The hotel is located on the East of Bali, thus avoiding the hustle and bustle of the South and West where many tourists go. The hotel rooms are spacious, have lots of storage, tea making facilities plus cafetiere with Balinese coffee, spotlessly clean and have large comfy beds. Our room had a lovely sized balcony overlooking the pool, gardens, and sea.

The hotel sits in a stunning location; it has lovely 'manicured', peaceful gardens with trees and palms, a clean and quiet pool plus marvelous views of the sea.

All the staff are truly amazing, they are warm and welcoming, always have a smile, are really friendly, helpful and really keen to engage in dialogue. Of particular note was the food and beverage Manager I Made Putra Arnaya, he is truly amazing to talk to (we learned so much from him regarding Balinese culture including cuisine, traditions, temples, etc) - he leads a fantastic team, both in the kitchen and front of house - his breakfasts are full of exciting items plus fresh fruit and homemade bread/pastries - all these are complemented by inventive healthy drinks and lovely coffee. Evening meals included local or international influences which used fresh produce - these were really tasty and served with care and presented beautifully. The open-air restaurant, which is slightly elevated, is right by the ocean - as a result, your meals are eaten listening to the sound of crashing waves - a lovely experience! Worth mentioning there is a separate bar near to the beach and this gives you breathtaking views of the sea.

The hotel offers spa treatments, complimentary tai chi and yoga sessions plus daily afternoon tea. The hotel also offers complimentary shuttles to Candidasa town and is more than willing to arrange tours/visits to temples/attractions using taxis/private cars plus they arrange collection from the airport or as in our case from our previous hotel.

Wonderful stay in laid back top quality hotel

The hotel is a very stylish take on the Balineses vernacular set overlooking the ocean in a lovely part of east Bali. The staff are wonderful- friendly and helpful without being intrusive and the hotel is spotlessly clean. Trips can be arranged by the hotel at very reasonable rates and the food and beverage is reasonably priced for a hotel of this quality
