Sanur is a cozy seaside village on the southeast coast of Bali. This ideal destination hits the sweet-spot – it’s more laid-back and low-key than popular Seminyak, but it’s a bit more lively than regions like Nusa Dua. It’s just the place to enjoy the delights of Bali while still getting that island-escape feel you’re looking for. You’ll experience the famous white-sand beaches, turqouise waters, endless watersports, delicious local cuisine and friendly island culture – all with the know-how of a seasoned jet-setter.
The stylish Akana Boutique Hotel is the perfect retreat on this island paradise. Located close to the beach and at the end of Sanur’s main street, the hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from serene spas, delicious restaurants, boutique shopping and tranquil waves. This relative newcomer impresses with a sleek facade of wood and glass, and the spacious rooms boast modern comforts and a contemporary style. And, when you’re not soaking up the sun on those picture-perfect beaches, you can take a dip in the lagoon-like pool, dotted with sunny spots for afternoon lounging.
Each Deluxe Pool View room is dressed in elegant, contemporary decor, boasting sleek lines and chic furnishings. Exquisite stone and wooden touches add to the warm, natural ambience. You’ll also find a private balcony facing the pool – perfect for enjoying the calming sea breeze.
Selada Restaurant has the vibe of a hip café, with floor-to-ceiling windowsoffering a view of Sanur’s main street. Breakfast is served here each morning, as well as a menu of modern European dishes and local specialties throughout the day. At night, enjoy a cocktail at the bar and accompany it with one of the bar’s popular light bites.
The hotel is located just minutes from the beach, on the southern end of Sanur’s main street. You’ll have plenty of shopping and dining options at your fingertips, as well as Balinese massages and watersports activities galore.
How to Get There
Wonderfull small hotel with excellent staff. Beautiful spacious room with very comfortable bed and tasteful design bathroom with powerfull rainshower, wide range of aminities included. Anything you need will and can be arranged, and always with a big smile. Especially Harry of housekeeping and the lovely lady Elisa from the receptiondesk deserve honours. Their smiles are the extra touch of hospitality and makes a guest feel welcome and appreciated. Just around the corner of the hotel are many nice restaurants. The hotel offers free bikes, which are nice to use to explore the beach path. Their own restaurant offers good food too. We had dinner twice, outstanding cook and nice presentation of the food.
Lovely spacious rooms, great service, yummy breakfast. Will definitely be back! Rooms clean, quiet and well serviced. Near to beach, restaurants, Spa’s and everything you would want to do in Sanur. Lovely staff!
This hotel like many buildings in the tropics doesn’t look much from outside but inside it is a delightful boutique hotel. Not sure how many rooms but my guess no more than 20. The rooms are roomy with own ensuite and very comfortable. Breakfast is good the staff are both efficient & friendly (a rare quality in some hotels)
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants more personalised service than the big hotels offer
First location : in the small road area (Sudamala street), easy to find taxi, many restaurant, convinient store.
Have a outdoor pool for social and relaxing.
Lovely staff, the breakfast is tasty.
We stay here few nights before visiting Nusa Penida island.
Akana is a good mid range boutique hotel. Stayed there for two nights to explore Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida on a day trip.
Hotel looks like, it is built quite recently. Rooms are clean and of decent size. Located near the main street and all the restaurants. Pool area is small, but they do have a beach area away from hotel. They offer complimentary bicycles to explore near by areas.
Breakfast has got ample varieties. It also has a restaurant with live music in the evening on certain days.
Overall, a value for money hotel, in fact, offers more than money paid. A good place to stay, if on a transit to Nusa islands or to spend some peaceful days in Sanur area. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
