This 33-floor behemoth is a downtown landmark, one of five Marriotts connected to the Indiana Convention Center. Guest rooms sport mid-level luxuries like 40″ LCD televisions and marble bathrooms, but the greatest perk is the floor-to-ceiling windows with superstar views over the city, especially from the upper floors. Dine in-house at one of two restaurants, the Tuscan-inspired Osteria Pronto or the lively High Velocity sports bar, then work off the calories at the well-equipped fitness center, which also includes an indoor pool and whirlpool.
In the Area
Along with the steak house at the hotel, the immediate area is rife with temples to carnivorism. One of the most popular beef bastions is St Elmo’s, which has been firing up award-winning steaks since 1902. For a slightly different take on the beast, try one of the burgers at Bru, whose meat is sourced from Creekstone Farms, the same purveyor used by legendary New York chefs Mario Batali and Danny Meyer. Finally, it’s time to watch animals get fed at the acclaimed Indiana Zoo, renowned for its animal conservation and breeding programs.
How to Get There
The room goes without saying was nice, up to standard very clean and the staff were amazing. I was traveling with a convention and that hotel was bombarded with hundreds of teenagers. As chaotic as that hotel could have gotten no one would have known. The staff always greeted with a smile and went above and beyond. Great views!
From the moment we walked in the door we experienced great customer service! Mallory who checked us in was extremely friendly and gave us various suggestions. She even gave my son some local chocolates, which he claimed were the
This is at least the second time I have stayed at the JW Marriott in Indy. The first time I was too busy to appreciate it's location. Not only was the staff as helpful and responsive as usual, but the location really made this a great place to stay in Indianapolis. I would highly recommend staying here again.
Indy was our destination for a long weekend for a family event. We’ve stayed at Marriott properties all over the US and Europe. The JW Marriott in Indianapolis is a fine example of what Marriott has to offer at the high end.
The lobby was very busy when we checked in but we were quickly sorted through the process. Our room was what we had requested. It I was well maintained and housekeeping did a fine job for the three days we were there.
We enjoyed the concierge lounge and the well trained staff there. Many concierge floors have abbreviated schedules on the weekend. This one was operating at full speed.
We ate one quick meal at High Velocity, the on premises sports bar. This was very satisfactory.
This hotel is well located to downtown Indy. There are walking paths and attractions that can be visited on foot. We would stay here again.
Very clean, welcoming environment that was easy to utilize and supportive of needs of guests. It felt very relaxing in the space and it was easy to utilize all throughout the conference. I especially appreciated the seating throughout the space that allowed guests to meet with others.
