This 33-floor behemoth is a downtown landmark, one of five Marriotts connected to the Indiana Convention Center. Guest rooms sport mid-level luxuries like 40″ LCD televisions and marble bathrooms, but the greatest perk is the floor-to-ceiling windows with superstar views over the city, especially from the upper floors. Dine in-house at one of two restaurants, the Tuscan-inspired Osteria Pronto or the lively High Velocity sports bar, then work off the calories at the well-equipped fitness center, which also includes an indoor pool and whirlpool.
In the Area
Along with the steak house at the hotel, the immediate area is rife with temples to carnivorism. One of the most popular beef bastions is St Elmo’s, which has been firing up award-winning steaks since 1902. For a slightly different take on the beast, try one of the burgers at Bru, whose meat is sourced from Creekstone Farms, the same purveyor used by legendary New York chefs Mario Batali and Danny Meyer. Finally, it’s time to watch animals get fed at the acclaimed Indiana Zoo, renowned for its animal conservation and breeding programs.
How to Get There
First I’ll start by how stunning the outside is. It’s a brilliant blue color like nothing else in Indianapolis. The interior is equally stunning. Every amenity you can think of is available. The staff is so attentive and genuinely nice. It’s by far the cleanest hotel given its size in ever seen. I travel a lot for business and I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years and this is at the top.
My room was so clean and perfectly put together. The bed and sheets were so comfortable and the view of the city was incredible. I can’t say enough about this hotel. I’m starting to do a lot more business in Indianapolis and this will be my go to hotel every time I travel to Indianapolis. Thank you JW Marriott.
Stayed at the JW Marriott for couple of night while on business in Indianapolis. What makes this hotel special is the staff and their service. They have an amazing staff, cordial, helpful and extremely friendly. The rooms are nice and they have good gym. Definitely worth staying their.
We love the JW! This is our third stay at this property, and it won't be our last! Great location and superb customer service. This year, we stayed on the Executive Lounge level, and we were impressed with the food options provided during our stay.
My daughter and I recently stayed at the JW Marriot in Indianapolis. The parking entrance was easy to find with GPS, however the rate for parking was $44 per night. Pretty steep! We were there for a rather large event, so we ended up waiting almost 3 hours for our room to be ready. I don't think that would have been the case for regular guests, but like I said we had a large group.
The staff was helpful, kind, and courteous, especially the woman who cleaned our room and the hostess at the Velocity Sports Bar. The hotel was always super clean, the gym was amazing, and the elevators were nice and fast. All in all, we had a wonderful experience. I even received a handwritten thank you card from the manager for filling out an online survey. The hotel is located in a beautiful part of Indy and is within walking distance of a number of museums, restaurants, and shops. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location. Immaculately clean overall, including my suite.
Stayed in large executive corner suite overlooking baseball field on one side and downtown from the other wall. 23rd floor., 2343. excellent. Even the hand towels and was cloths were folded with a decorative floral twist- small detail but thats where excellence shines.
Great view from exec lounge on 31 with nice hors d'oeuvres and nice beverage selection. Highly recommended.
Special recognition to Sally at front desk for best check in ever.
