This 33-floor behemoth is a downtown landmark, one of five Marriotts connected to the Indiana Convention Center. Guest rooms sport mid-level luxuries like 40″ LCD televisions and marble bathrooms, but the greatest perk is the floor-to-ceiling windows with superstar views over the city, especially from the upper floors. Dine in-house at one of two restaurants, the Tuscan-inspired Osteria Pronto or the lively High Velocity sports bar, then work off the calories at the well-equipped fitness center, which also includes an indoor pool and whirlpool.
In the Area
Along with the steak house at the hotel, the immediate area is rife with temples to carnivorism. One of the most popular beef bastions is St Elmo’s, which has been firing up award-winning steaks since 1902. For a slightly different take on the beast, try one of the burgers at Bru, whose meat is sourced from Creekstone Farms, the same purveyor used by legendary New York chefs Mario Batali and Danny Meyer. Finally, it’s time to watch animals get fed at the acclaimed Indiana Zoo, renowned for its animal conservation and breeding programs.
How to Get There
We stayed here during a big downtown event. The lobby was packed but they allowed us to check into our room early. The view from the room was lovely. The hotel rooms are comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated. The TV was a bit small for that sized room. The coffee service in the room was a little disappointing. An off brand of coffee and no Starbucks like downstairs. The buffet breakfast was typical buffet food but the coffee and service were excellent. The room was extremely quite and comfortable. We tried the chocolate cake from room service and it was surprisingly delicious. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great location and service.
Great Experience overall! We signed up for a king but we’re given 2 queens due to construction! Door did not lock ...needed to be pulled shut! Might want to check on that! Breakfast was great! Loved the variety!
You were incredibly busy and at the same time incredibly accommodating. Well done! . I appreciated the note from the Manager prior to my arrival as well. Valet was also very accommodating. Expensive, but great.
