Was here for 2 day software symposium. Was a great site for large groups and breakout sessions. Gym was very nice and the Eagle's Nest was great for drink and appetizers afterwards (though they are sticklers for reservations for staffing levels, not because of space as there were tons of unoccupied tables). Great place for business travel. There was construction outside before 8 am which did not bother me personally, but I would have not been happy had it been a family stay.
You're paying for location with this hotel. We had a king suite with a capitol view. The comforter had a yellow stain on it, there was food in the wedges of the furniture for who knows how long, bathrooms are small. Rooms need an upgrade for the price.
I walked up to check in and was immediately met by Princess, the front desk person who was incredibly rude about a problem on the hotels end! My name hadn't been added with my family members name on the room. Even though it in fact had been added twice!!
Then once we arrived at the room, it was so incredibly small!!!! I couldn't believe it!!! The beds are lumpy and hard. My pillowcase had dried blood on it. The other bed had dried blood on the comforter!!! So unacceptable. Plus they only make the beds with a sheet as a bottom sheet, thin comforter and another sheet. Tacky in my opinion.
There is no microwave, and the fridge barely keep our water bottles cold. Also, there is no bar to hold onto when you walk into the shower in case you need it. The shower and sink had such a hard time draining it was ridiculous!!!
To top if off, the wallpaper was puckering and the patch job in the corner of wall was terrible! Quality work is not something they value at Hyatt!!
My impression was this was a high end hotel.... apparently not!!!
I was highly disappointed in this hotel. The housekeeping staff did an absolute horrible job cleaning my room. I could tell that the room had not been clean and the floors barely vacuumed. The amount of dust behind the beds has got to be a health code violation( see picture). For this to be a Hyatt chain hotel next to the convention center, they have got to do better. This place is DIRTY! Retrain your housekeeping staff on how to properly clean a room. I have stayed at many hotels across the world and this was by the dirtiest l. Clean it up Hyatt!
