How to Get There
We were on an official visit for a conference cum leisure. We were 30+ people. The overall experience was awesome. The property is quite spacious and well laid out. The staff are extremely courteous and greet the guests with folded hands everytime they see them - I've never experienced this anywhere else. The amenities are top notch as you'd expect from The Trident. Recommended for a stay.
This was our 3rd stay at a Trident hotel during our tour of India. They are so consistent in the level and quality of service. The staff are always so charming and helpful. So much attention has been paid to the decor in the dining room and lounge, you feel compelled to sit and relax after your sightseeing.
I was with a group of 30 people on an organised solo travellers tour staying at this hotel for two nights, On our second day there was a strike and we could not leave the island because they blocked the roads and stopped the ferry. We missed several aspects of the tour, including visiting the house of a famous Indian chef for a cookery demonstration and lunch. The hotel manager arranged for us to have a cookery demonstration in the hotel and some wonderful food was produced. The staff could not have been more attentive or helpful. The only downside to the hotel is that there is very little to do if one can't get off the island.
How to start!! It's a rather small hotel, almost in an Island. But everything is SUPERB. Rooms, decor, Restaurant but most importantly people [ service ] --- its excellent. Anyone in Service industry should stay in Trident for a day to know what service means. This is my 3rd Trident and I am sure I would visit all the other in India as well soon. Rooms are very comfortable. Front-desk , restaurant - each detail is suprb
The Trident was a very lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are slightly dated but are very clean, have good amenities and are very comfortable. There was a good selection of food in the restaurant and the selection I had was very tasty.
