How to Get There
The check in was very fast and the worker was very friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful. The entrance way with the fireplace and people sitting around reading was just stunning. My room was very spacious and really nice looking. The art work was cool. The bathroom had a tv in the mirror, which i thought was pretty cool. I loved that it had a fridge too. The bed was very comfortable too! I never watch movies in a hotel and i actually wanted to rent a movie but i couldn’t find any place on the tv to rent movies! But i loved that the tv had YouTube and Netflix etc. that’s a great touch!!! I would def stay at this hotel any day!!!!
Real great accommodations. Beautifully decorated large hotel. The pool and fitness center are fantastic. The pool is very large with lots of seating and has a nice hot tub. The rooms are nice. The mirror does not get foggy after you take a shower which is a nice plus. There is also a tv built into the mirror which is really cool. Overall This is a great hotel and I have already booked another stay so I can come back!
The hotel is very nice and my room was quite large with a sofa, bar area that I could work on my computer and a great bathroom with a tv in the mirror. But what really made this stay was Brandon Grant at the front desk and Engineer Juan. I dropped one pearl earring down the sink when getting ready the last morning of my stay. Brandon expressed concern when I mentioned it and said he would ask an engineer to see what they could do. Engineer Juan saved the day by fishing my earring out of the sink trap. Brandon stayed in touch with me and coordinated shipping the earring back.
This will now be my go to hotel in Schaumburg!
This past weekend (starting Thursday) I stayed here for a conference. I love the Marriott brand because it is so dependably good. But I had my doubts when I got to the registration desk and the computer had me down for only one night instead of three. I showed the staff the email I had gotten after registering on my app in early October, which showed I had registered for three nights. (I think it is possible when I went into the app later to ask for late departure on Sunday, I may have inadvertently changed the reservation from 3 to 1 day — as an aside, Marriott App, such a change in a reservation should probably come with a confirming email and/or a warning that the reservation is being changed so significantly). ANYWAY, the woman at the front desk, Ekleva, checked the computer and then said “I am going to go ahead put you in that room for three days.” What I loved about the interaction (besides that she fixed my problem and did it promptly) was that she clearly had the authority to make things right for a customer on the spot, without having to consult an Assistant Manager who has to consult the Manager, etc etc. That is, in my opinion, the heart of great customer service. The entire stay was excellent. A wonderful facility, lovely restaurant and good meeting rooms. My hotel room was very nice as well. Keep up the good work Marriott!
Room service was absolutely terrible. Appalling for a Renaissance
First, they brought up the wrong items
Second, when I called to inform them of the wrong order, they tell me the item I had originally ordered is no longer available - they have outdated menus in their room. So I ordered something else that their front desk person read to me over the phone
Third, after one hour of waiting, still no food. I called down again, and turns out, they never put in the second order
By this point, it’s been two hours of just waiting and no food
They ended up sending me food I didn’t order
Absolute worst service I’ve ever experienced at a Renaissance
