Attending a convention there and liked the amenities and location

Attended a weekend convention there hosted by Pheasants Forever. It was well attended by hunters and outdoors people. The service was excellent. The location is close to many good restaurants. The room was very nice, the facilities there were first rate. Could not have been any better.

We had our annual ITServe Synergy 2019 conference on 17th and 18th Oct. Excellent hotel and convention center. Lobby is beautiful , lot of places to sit around , the fire sit around area was great. Rooms are excellent with in mirror TV. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Convention center is attached. Overall great place to stay and for convention.

Beautiful, clean and modern

We stayed here for 2 nights for a convention. First, the entrance into the hotel is very minimal, yet bright tall and beautiful. The escalator onto the second floor takes you to the main huge reception area and reception desk. There are many spots and corners and areas on this floor to sit and enjoy the atmosphere, which includes a grand central fireplace, art, coffee, restaurant and full bar areas. FYI, The Starbucks in the building, does not taste like a Starbucks at all. The coffee tasted very different and not well executed on our easy order of Mochas.

We stayed on the the 6th floor, which was very nice, comfortable, modern and clean.
The bed was very soft. They have 2 options of pillows, foam and feathers. Both of which my friend absolutely disliked both. They were not big and fluffy. They were ok for me, but they did get flat quick. There was a big closet in the hallway, with iron and board. There was also a mini fridge and Safe box in the room.
The bathroom had 2 doors, with a 2 sink counter, with a separate toilet space walled off slightly. The shower head was good on the tub shower combo. Towels were threaded rigged, but soft.

The Pool and Hot tub area was spacious, just past the gym area. Stayed open till 11 pm. The hot tub water was very warm hot, but the jets were horrible. It was more like a hot tub bubble bath, than a jetted Tub.
FYI, there is no shuttle provided by the hotel. They can assist with finding rides from Airport. The area around the hotel is suburban. Best to have a car to drive around and get around, to go check out the sights. Chicago is a good 45-60 mins away. Most restaurants around the area close down early by 9 or 10, so eat early. I believe the hotel snack and bar area remains open late.

Overall, this was a great stay. The price is fair for what your getting. The building was grand and beautiful and amenities to enjoy.
