How to Get There
I stayed at the Knickerbocker from Feb. 2-5, after checking out I received a notice from the front desk stating a charge for $107.00 from items in the mini bar. The items in question were items I wouldn’t even consume if you gave them to me. I repeatedly explained that I never removed anything from the mini bar (never do), and basically the manager just ignored my pleas and stated that the charges were going to stay on my account even though I didn’t take the items. Apparently they’re housekeeping staff is not fallible. I got RIPPED OFF! Avoid at all costs, plenty of choices to stay in Chicago, don’t stay here, they’ll just take your money without getting anything in return but a hassle.
While staying at another hotel, I stopped by the Martini Bar/Library room for afternoon tea. I ordered the Asian style and so loved it. The waiter, Mora was VERY attentive. I arrived without reservations, and the Director of Operations, Marcus, was kind enough to make sure I was able to have the opportunity to experience the tea. Since I was alone, I sat by the window and people watched as I sipped tea and just relaxed. I highly recommend a visit there.
My sister and I stopped by for a quick drink at the Martini Bar. Steve the bartender was a joy, very nice guy. We had never been in the hotel before so we asked the manager about the hotel and the kind of room we would need so we can possibly hold our Summer Sister weekend here. Candace greeted us with a warm smile and was very sweet we had a lot of questions haha! We hope to see you this summer Candace!
Candice the manager was helpful in resolving a small issue for mutual satisfaction.
Hotel is right behind the water tower place and very close to attractions, and Northwestern hospital that we were visiting.
