Good location. Tired room

I had contacted hotel prior to going and requested a nice room as we had a double celebration whilst there. What seemed like a positive reply was received. On arrival we were allocated a room. Whilst it was functional it was small and tired. There was no literature in room about hotel facilities including tv or Wi-Fi. No information had been given at all at check in not even what floor the room was on. In feed back to Expedia I stated these facts and betel replied that they were ‘mediating direct’ with me. That was a lie no communication took place at all.
The hotel is in a great location for all amenities and the waterfront. It was disappointing that it was let down.

Beautiful historic Lakeshore area hotel

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in August and loved how close it is to Michigan Ave for restaurants and shopping. It's just a short walk to Rush Street and River North.

The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable, and it's a short walk to the Signature Room for drinks. Don't miss a chance to see the view from the Signature Room!

Room door left open

My stay was good until my room door was left open. I reported it to the manager. I was told I would receive a call at the end of the day to let me know the outcome of the investigation. I did not receive the call, as promised. When I called the next day for a status update, the same General Manager was very rude, unprofessional and did not seem to be concerned with my complaint. He went so far as to ask me “why I was calling back and what was it that I wanted?” He even told me that “I wasn’t getting anything from him,” even though I had not asked for anything other than a status update. When I told him that I was going to write a review and report it to Corp. his response was “write whatever you want.” I’m appalled at the unprofessional and rude behavior exhibited by a Manager. Fortunately nothing was taken from my room, but it could have easily happened. I was attempting to let them know of the incident to prevent something unforeseen or unfortunate happening in the future- to no avail from the manager.
