How to Get There
My stay at the Club Quarters was very good. The room was satisfactory and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located and met my needs. There is also a shuttle that can take you to the airport, which is very helpful.
I had a friendly and warm check in to the hotel by a charming young lady. She was chatty and welcoming. I asked if there was any possibility to have a nice view from the room and she was able to oblige, gladly I might add. I can't thank her enough. My room was on the 21st floor looking right down the river and opposite Trump tower. It was a good size, comfortable queen size bed, a coffee machine and was quiet. Wi-Fi signal was excellent. The hotels location is superb, right by the river area and minutes walk from the CTA Blue line for O'Hare airport. Chicago was a great city and my experience was complimented by this hotel.
We had a friendly, warm and genuine welcome when we checked in at the front desk with Seth. The hotel is located right across the river from Trump Tower and surrounded by some of Chicago's most iconic classical art deco, gothic and modern buildings.
Seth noticed the request on my booking for a higher floor with river view, called up to housekeeping and said if we could take a room immediately, but if we were happy to wait 10 minutes, he had a very special one for us.
Wow - we we not disappointed. We were given a huge room in the octagonal turret at the top of the tower, 39th floor (one above where the elevator terminated). 6 windows with stunning views to 3 sides! Very comfortable and we'll equipped - great bed, huge TV, handy kitchenette and a steaming hot shower! 5 minutes after checking into the room, Seth phoned up to check we happy with it - a really nice touch.
We did also later take a look into a room on a lower floor and they were also nice, but I think we really stuck it lucky!
All the free coffee, wine, snacks etc in the guest lounge on floor two were useful and much appreciated! Great to duck back into for breaks from sightseeing.
We loved this hotel and have booked to return in 2 weeks at the end of our road trip. It's s superb location, 2 mins from Loop trains and subway, and we had no problem arriving with baggage direct via CTA train from the airport.
Google "Mather Tower" for some history of the building. It's a real landmark and we were so happy to have picked the River Hotel/Club Quarters to start our holiday in style. As you can tell, we were very very satisfied! Thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome!!
One last tip - if you have the time, spend an evening at Buddy Lou's blues club, about 10 minutes walk away - one of the best night's we have had in a long time ;)
Perfect location for a couples vacation. The common living room area is a great concept. Hotel is easily within walking distance of the train, common tourist sites and great restaurants. Stayed here before. It will be my first choice next time in Chicago.
Facilities in hotel are par excellence. They provide tea-coffee all day and night. This hotel has excellent location. All major sightseeing are within walking distance. Even the price of the Hotel is also reasonable.
I think whether you are in business or tourism give this hotel a try.
