Everything you would expect From a Marriott
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Our plane was over sold so we took the compensation and were put up at this Marriott. It is a beautiful hotel, the staff are excellent and the rooms and beds perfect. We are a bit biased because we love staying in Marriott and are lifetime Platinum or Titanium... They immediately upgraded us as well. We were exhausted when we came in and the staff were friendly, efficient and our stay was wonderful.

Nice Hotel

The hotel is not bad but it needs to work on some things. First, let's start with the rooms. The rooms are quite small and there is barely any leg room in the bathroom either. The hotel offers a pool, gym and a restaurant as well. The hotel also has a laundry room for washing and drying clothes. There is a microwave but its all the way in the laundry room. So if you want to heat up your food you're going to have to carry it there. Would be better if the microwave was placed somewhere more convenient. The staff were really helpful and nice and the service was quick. The hotel is really close to the airport and a shuttle goes there every 30 minutes but that's about it for the location. There is not much nearby if you're looking for other areas to eat or explore. The hotel also offers wifi.

Nastiest Hotel Room I’ve Ever Stayed In
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Where can I start with how disappointed I am with my stay at Chicago Marriot Ohare. When I initially walked into my room I was surprised with how small my room was, especially the bathroom. Another look around the room and I see dust and stains on the phone, nightstands, TV, and desk chair. Then I see plastic bag around my smoke detector... To really top it off I get into my bed and the sheets are hard, looking as though they’ve been burned in the dryer with starch. Also, the fitted sheet wasn’t completely on my bed. My bathroom had some rings around facets. My stay was only 3 nights for work so I really tried to let it go. The following morning of my first night, I asked the young man at the front desk why there was a plastic bag on my smoker detector. He asked me if my room smelled like smoke (which it didn’t) and suggested “I just take it down.....” The hotel lobby and restaurant seem to be the only thing that have been kept up. I’m convinced the sheets and towels were the only thing “cleaned” when the room was flipped. I’ve stayed at many hotels in my life and this has probably been one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. $179/ night PLUS $30 a night to park your car??? Save your money. I’ve stayed at a nicer 3 star hotels.

The hotel just falls short of the convenience of an airport hotel

One of the biggest advantages of an airport hotel is proximity to the airport. This hotel is about 15 minutes away. Not terrible but the shuttle only goes every 30 minutes on the half hour so you need to do more planning and get to the airport probably earlier than you need. The hotel has a nice open bar for socializing at the end of the day. The rooms are a bit cramped but the beds are comfortable.

Convenient

We held our small national meeting here because of Ohare’s convience. Marriott is a reliable brand with rooms and meeting space filling our needed. The hotel provides a shuttle service via the airport and to local area restaurants.
