We held our small national meeting here because of Ohare’s convience. Marriott is a reliable brand with rooms and meeting space filling our needed. The hotel provides a shuttle service via the airport and to local area restaurants.

One of the best

This is one of the best Marriott's I've been in. It had a huge conference center that's the size of a Home Depot attached.

You can tell there are mostly business travels here but a few families by the looks of all the kids playing by the pool.

Nice lobby and bar area - fun atmosphere!

Great option for airport and exploring the city

Booked via Marriott for 87$ a night. Checked in around noon, and room was ready, on 7th floor, smaller room with king bed (very comfortable), large lcd TV with internet channels like crackle, Hulu and Netflix (for which you need a subscription), small but clean bathroom, good wifi, view of the neighborhood.

Got, as a gold member, my 1000 points, as well as free Continental breakfast (5$ more for full hot breakfast), and a 10$ food and drink voucher..

The heated pool is quite nice, not huge, half inside, outside was rather cool on the head. Gym was well appointed with 5 treadmills, 4 ellipticals, weights, recumbent bikes.

Used my 10$ on a chicken sandwich with salad, 16.95, which was decent but not great. Breakfast was good, with made to order eggs and omelettes, bacon, sausage, asparagus, roasted tomatoes, potatoes, breads and pastries, fruits, cold cuts. Service was good.

Parking is horrendous at 32$ self parking. But the selling point is the proximity to Cumberland Station. No need for a car.

Great hotel

We loved this hotel. Our room had a private bedroom and was huge. The restaurant attached - can’t recall the name was great too. Omelette bar in the morning and one of the best steaks I’ve had for dinner - please get the Marriott butter - so good. Front desk knows the city like the back of their hands and are always helpful.

Unable to keep the light from streaming in

I stayed in the north end of the hotel that overlooks the pool which also has door access to a balcony that is not private but rather goes up and down the length of the hotel. This meant that the 2 metal chairs just outside the room could be jostled and banged into at all hours of the day, which did occur past midnight both nights that I stayed. And because there is that aforementioned door that opens onto the balcony, the inside curtain does not close all the way but instead stops before the door, which meant that there was significant window space through which outdoor lights can stream into the room during the night and sunlight during the early morning hours.

The room itself is kind of cramped, and the bathroom is of the standard Marriott variety. I will never understand why many hotel bathrooms do not have a vent to remove some of the hot steam that is generated by showering .

One positive of the hotel is the complimentary shuttle to the airport, with consistent and timely service throughout the day/evening. Otherwise, if you absolutely have to stay here, bring earplugs and an eyemask to counteract the previously stated shortcomings.
