Lovely Historic Hotel

We stayed at this hotel, as it was part of a post-river cruise stay in Paris, so we did not choose it ourselves. However, we were so pleased to see what a great location it was in, right in the1st arrondissement, to enable us to maximize our limited sight-seeing time. Our small group arrived on a Sunday afternoon, right in the middle of European Cultural Days, and downtown was super busy, lots of roads closed off to enable biking and walking. There was a short wait at check-in, but other staff jumped in to assist the desk staff, and the process went fairly quickly. Our room was ready early, and we were able to go right up. The hotel is very elegant, and our room was on the second floor, lovely and comfortable, although our view was of a roof below us. Oh well, we weren't going to have time to sit around looking out the window anyway. Bathroom was very large. Nice big desk to spread out our sightseeing brochures! We had supper at La Terrasse d'Ete - a casual, international restaurant on the terrace. Service was very good, and we enjoyed Lamb Tagine with fresh figs and Turkey skewers with Tzaziki sauce. We were tired out, and headed up to our room right after, but there was a big wedding going on downstairs underneath our room, and the music went on, very loud, until well after midnight. The buffet breakfast was included with our package, and the selection of food was amazing. However, if it hadn't been included I would not have been paying that price for it (I believe it was 30 Euros)! It was not easy to flag down servers for coffee or refills, either. The dining room itself was beautiful. There had been a change of itinerary with our tour group, so kind of last minute, we wanted to book the Eiffel Tower online, rather than stand in line. We were having some difficulty with the website, and the concierge went above and beyond to assist us to make the reservation and then printed off the tickets for us. A life-saver! The day we were to leave, there was a mix-up with the breakfast buffet list, and our name was not on it. It was a scramble to find our tour respresentative to sort it out, as time was short before our airport pick-up. This hotel is close to so many sights, including the stop for the Hop On Hop Off bus; we really enjoyed our stay.

Amazing hotel in Paris!

My husband and I visited France for our 10-year anniversary and stayed 4 nights at this hotel. We had a room on the 4th floor with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower. I loved our room- to me it was the quintessential room one thinks of in a Parisian hotel! The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful and the decor is beautiful and elegant. Amenities were perfect. The hotel brings complimentary coffee to the room daily upon request and 2 fresh bottles of Evian were left for us each time the room was made up. Despite its location on a busy road (with a carnival taking place during the summer in the Tuileries directly across from the hotel), noise was not a problem. Location is excellent: short walking distance to the Louvre, Musée d’Orsay and Jardins de Tuileries. Highly recommended - would definitely stay here again!

Best location and friendly staff

The hotel is based right next to place Vendome and within walking distance from all major attractions. So from that perspective is unbeatable.

Staff is also very friendly and always willing to help from check in, during the stay and check out.

Standard Rooms are quite small and there is no sound proofing. Maybe the furniture is not really needed in such a small room. Bathroom are ok but not modern.

Will chose it for the location and staff.
