Good quality and good location

This 4 star hotel is everything a business traveler needs. The location is close to the place Vendome (obviously) which is the more exclusive part of Paris. My room had a king size bed, a chair with a small (round) table and a large desk but was rather small and therefore a bit "crowded". The look and feel is a bit old-fashioned like the wardrobe in the room. The bathroom with toilet inside had a (small) tub.
The minibar has the traditional "survival content".
Very special is the excessive number of electricity plugs to charge your devices : 3 at the desk, a block with 4 plugs and 2 USBs on each side of the bed and a USB in the foot of the lamp next to the bed (again on both sides).
The breakfast is excessive. Eggs and meat, cheese, fresh chopped fruit (mango, grapefruit, orange, kiwi, pineapple, ...), danish pastries, yogurts, ... name it, it's probably there. The seating is done by an attendant.
The bar is cozy and has every possible drink available.
People are friendly and helpful.
The hotel is a labyrinth and it is quite a challenge to find your room through the multitude of corridors, with many options to get to the same place. Signs to the room numbers are everywhere but don't always show the shortest way :-).

Great stay!

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. The service is fantastic. The hotel is in a great location. You can walk to any ‘tourist spots’ or take a metro easily from this hotel.
The 1 drawback. I had a ham (no cheese) sandwich and 1 glass of rosé bubbly for 47€ at there bar restaurant. A little steep, in my opinion. Go to nearby cafés and restaurants. A lot cheaper and better food.

Decent location, very small rooms, rude staff

The staff is just plain rude.
The hotel has a chic vibe to it and that is great but in general this should run even half the price they command.

The breakfast was just terrible and we would just walk to a nearby cafe to pick up sandwiches.

Will not want to stay again.

The good, the bad and the average

We spent 9 nights at the Westin which was ideally located for the places we needed to visit. On arrival, we were shown to a surprisingly large and well appointed room with loads of cupboard space, 2 windows overlooking a central courtyard and good lighting.

However, when colleagues of ours arrived and had been booked in to the same category and price room, they were shown to a small, cramped and inadequate room. You should visit the room that has been reserved for you as soon as you arrive. Don't accept unless its at least what you were lead to believe you would be getting and don't be shy about asking for an alternative if you are not satisfied.

We had dinner the first night at the "glass-cage" restaurant which offered a dull and limited menu and which was quite expensive.

If breakfast is not included in your booking arrangement, then I would urge you to eat at any of the very nearby cafes , bistros etc. There are several that are within a few hundred yards which will cost you a quarter of the Westin's breakfast.

We found most of the staff indifferent to guests most of the time. But by far the worst were the front door people, few of whom wore uniform so it was hard to tell who was a porter or a security guard. Don't bother EVER asking a security guard in front of the hotel or just inside the main lobby for simple information like...where is the toilet, or which way is it to the Champs Elysee or the Louvre which is just across the road....they either don't know or they won't tell you. Chamber maids did an excellent job every morning.

Excellent Stay

This was my second stay at the Westin Vendome and it was far better than the first. There were several events happening simultaneously in Paris - Men’s Fashion Week, Maison et Objet, Deco Off - but the hotel staff pulled off a busy time seamlessly. Every encounter with a member of the hotel team was superb- from the front desk, to room service, to the amazing house keeping team, to concierge. I had a great room with a lovely view on the 4th floor and could not have been more satisfied - I will definitely be back and recommend this property without hesitation!
