I stayed at this place for 2 nights. I would recommend this for stay if you are solo or backpack travellers. If you book directly you'll get free breakfast. It's Very Nice overall and View is also quite good.

Great place to stay if on a budget

First time I stayed in a hostel and I can say it was much better than anticipated. This hostel is part of a hostel chain that has presence all over Europe and fulfilled all my needs. It conveniently has a restaurant (Belushi's) that also serves as a bar later at night and it features a club downstairs. Though I read that it can get noisy on the weekends due to all the partying going on I did not hear any disturbance in my room and did not have any issues sleeping. Check in is at 2 and check out is at 11. Note: staying here gives you a 25% discount on food at Belushi's and if you book directly from St Christopher's website, you get free continental breakfast that may be simple but filling. In all, If you are backpacking and need a decent place to sleep and shower, this place can be a firm candidate.

Great place, the smell though

I’ll start by saying that the location is amazing, the room view is incredible, at least in the rooms I stayed in. I stayed for 3-4 days, the staff was amazing, everyone really welcoming and polite. Although I always saw the cleaning staff working, the room smell was not pleasant, same goes for the bathroom. I’m not sure if it’s a canal thing, but it didn’t smell clean. Beds are comfortable, I stayed in a room made for 12 people and still I could keep my privacy using the curtains. Bathrooms are shared, but I recommend you ask for a room near yours, cause I was on the other side of the hallway and it wasn’t fun getting there in the middle of the night when I really needed to go. Overall, great stay, the gorgeous view, great staff and location surely made my stay happier, be aware only if you think the smell thing would set you off.
