Stylish revamp of a five-star townhouse hotel within walking distance of the Louvre, with an elegant restaurant and a 24-hour fitness center

The Lowdown

Opened in March 2015 following a major revamp, this fancy five-star property in the upscale 8th Arrondissement occupies traditional townhouses dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. With designer Didier Gomez at the helm, the interiors bring together original features and a fashion-savvy aesthetic. The high ceilings and intricate plaster moldings in the guestrooms are enhanced by modern amenities like Bose sound systems, iPod docks and well-stocked minibars. The suites are suitably swank, with separate drawing rooms, walk-in closets and espresso machines; the bathrooms feature hammam-style showers, hydrotherapy bathtubs and Hermès toiletries. At the hip Bar du Faubourg, sip cocktails inspired by fashion icons like Jean Paul Gaultier, Coco Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. Then pop next door to Stay for global-themed cuisine prepared by Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno. Round off your stay with a muscle-loosening massage (on request) at the fitness center; the expert therapists use a wide range of Cinq Mondes beauty products.

In the Area

Perfectly placed in the heart of the chic 8th Arrondissement, the hotel is perfect for shopaholics and culture vultures. Designer boutiques including Prada, Givenchy and Paul Smith line Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré. This famous street is also home to the presidential residence, the Elysée Palace, as well as numerous embassies and art galleries. The fabulous art exhibitions at the Louvre and the Grand Palais are within walking distance. Make sure you fit in a visit to the monumental Madeleine church, which has an imposing neoclassical façade dating from the 18th century and hosts a wonderful (and often free) program of classical music concerts.

Home away from home
Reviewed 4 days ago

I stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks on a business trip recently. The staff always remembered who I was and addressed me by my name, made it a little easier to be away from home for that long. I had a courtyard room, it was quiet and the morning light was perfect. The room is a little small but well appointed and to be a honest, a decent size for what can be found in other hotels in Paris. The only thing that was slightly annoying is if I was working in my room with the DND sign on my door the house keeping would still knock on my door and enter the room. I thought the whole point of a DND was to make I wasn't disturbed. Not a big thing though. I would stay here again .

Romantic Paris Weekend Break

Fabulous hotel and great location within east walking distance of the metro and place de la Concorde.

The only downside to the hotel was the poor service on our final breakfast day. It was busy and they didn’t have enough staff or enough food to cater for everyone. We advised the front desk and this was taken on board and our feedback taken seriously. I wouldn’t let this stop us from staying here again though.

Good stay

The hotel is located beside the US embassy, some may think it’s safe but some may think it’s dangerous, you have to judge yourself. The location is superb, with lots of eatery / cafe and branded shop just next to you. There’s a Buddha bar opposite which you can have a drink at night.

The interior is the hotel is modern and up scale. When we got there it was quite early and of course our room were not ready yet, so we went to have breakfast and then came back to play chess which provided in front of the concierge.

Finally, they tried their best to get us check in at 2pm, check in is smooth, we got upgraded to junior suite which we were very grateful of. I like their toiletries because they use Hèrmes and we got a larger pack as a gift. 🙏🏻
The hotel claimed to be a 4 stars but the service feel like a 5 stars to me.

Breakfast was ok, but variety of pastry and dessert to choose from.

Would definitely stay again. Recommended for those who wants shopping.

Exceptional Experience

My wife and I have traveled extensively for many years. The customer experience at this property was the best yet. The room was beautiful and immaculate, and the entire staff was amazing!
The concierge, Thomas, went out of his way to ensure that we were able to enjoy Paris to the fullest extent.
Finally, Victor in Client Relations deserves a special mention. He provided us with a hand prepared surprise for our room that was very personal, creative, and helpful for our future travels. We will never forget him, and know he will thrive in the hospitality business.
