We picked this hotel primarily for the location. The pictures look good, the reviews were not bad. The room was smaller than expected even for Paris standards. The bathroom was decent. But the carpet was filthy, it looked like a high traffic area carpet with grease stains all over. We complained but they didn’t do anything. Furniture looked old and faded. Needs upgrading for those prices. Won’t come back!

Very nice in a good location

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. We found it very comfortable and in a great location. Easy walking distance to public transportation. Close to the Champs Elysees but away from the hustle bustle. We could see the Arc from our window.

The other prime tourist spots are only a few metro stops away.

The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was included and quite good. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure and temperature was perfect.
We also found the staff is very pleasant and helpful.

Worst stay I’ve ever had.

First off this hotel was musty, old and in major need of refurbishment. The staff is in need of a desperate revamp as well, as the staff members on duty during our stay were outrageously rude and unhelpful. The manager was away until the day we checked out so perhaps they don’t always operate so poorly, but without her supervision they were wildly aggressive, swearing and causing a scene when we simply requested an iron, a basic request when staying in a 4 star hotel really. We were given an iron finally, which was then stolen from our room 30 minutes later without notice and refused another iron for the rest of our stay! The rooms were in poor condition, our first room should have never been offered to us as the bathroom door was broken and unable to close. We were forced to stay in this room for the first night and changed on the second to a room that atleast had functioning doors... I could have probably looked past the poor upkeep of the building had the staff not been so terribly rude and made us feel so uncomfortable during our stay. While the manager was apologetic when she found out how her staff was behaving it was too late, we were already checking out. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Even the location can’t justity the horrendous stay we experienced. Never again! Stay elsewhere!

Long past its best..........

Myself and three colleagues booked this for a night based on reviews and the website. We arrived at 11.30 pm and the bar area was in complete darkness - no chance of a drink before bed..... check in was very efficient with friendly staff. The room was spacious but very very tired. The bathroom looked as though it hadn’t been renovated for 20+ years and similar for the room. The bed was ok and the air con adequate, it was clean and traffic noise fine for such a busy location. To give the hotel its due, the location for Arc De Triomphe etc is excellent. Breakfast was very basic but again, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The cost was E271 for the night. So, to conclude, expensive and very tired but well located and with helpful staff. Would we return? No.

Little Gem in a great location

We stayed here for three nights during the heat wave! Requested a king size bed and was very happy when we checked in to find a spacious room with a king size bed and good air conditioning.

The staff was helpful and very friendly. The location was so convenient. Very close to a main subway line. You can walk to the Arc du Triomphe right outside the front door. One block over from the Champs-Élysées but quiet enough for sleeping.

I’m almost reluctant to post my review because I want to keep this gem a secret.

Will definitely stay here next time we are in Paris.
