How to Get There
This is a nice hotel. Fairly new, nice rooms, good location, and an attentive staff. I reserved a room on the top floors with balcony's and it was worth the additional money - great views of the Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower.
Key Point: Outrageous cancellation policy. We had to amend out trip for personal reasons, tried to change dates about 10 days out, and forgot that I had committed to this property's policy. I think I had one day to cancel after making the reservation two months ago. So, if your travel is "iffy" or if your schedule changes frequently, this is NOT the place to stay. I canceled another Paris Marriott on the front end of the trip with no issues. Check this out before committing.
I have to admit when I saw pictures of the exterior of this hotel, I was looking for something that looked more "Parisian" and less contemporary. But don't let looks deceive you. This hotel was excellent - comfortable, great breakfast, friendly staff and attentive housekeeping.
We had a room that faced the courtyard, which was perfect. It was quiet and the late summer sunsets (10:30 p.m.) were beautiful from the balcony. Housekeeping came by twice/day - leaving complementary water and little treats on your pillow at the end of the night. Breakfast had a nice assortment of food and juices - something for all tastes.
There are plenty of restaurants in the area and you'll be in a great area of town to explore - both near the Arc de Triomphe as well as near the metro. We had a great stay overall. The only improvement I might comment on is that the AC in our room was little sluggish so it wasn't the coolest at times, but there were some nice nights in which we were able to open the balcony door and let a breeze in.
My husband, three children and I stayed here from July 1-4. We were warmly greeted by Valeria when we checked in overnight, and the stay at this property was perfect. Thank you for the hospitality and help during our stay. You won't regret booking here!
