Plaza Tour Eiffel Hotel
What We Love
- Location par excellence in the elegant 16th Arrondissement, it's a three-minute walk to the Trocadero, a 15-minute stroll to the Eiffel Tower and 20-minutes to the Champs-Elysées
- Views of the top of the Eiffel Tower from the Junior Suites
- A plethora of excellent bars and gourmet eateries right on the doorstep
What To Know
- A city tax of approximately $2 per person, per night will be collected by the hotel at checkout
- Not all rooms come with a view
- Rooms (except the Junior Suites) don’t come with fridges or minibars but they are available on request
- The hotel has a cozy bar and there are plenty of cool watering holes nearby
- Superior Rooms are a tad on the small side, but who comes to Paris to sit in their room?
- Free WiFi
Tucked down a cobbled sidestreet in the chic 16th Arrondissement, Plaza Tour Eiffel has classic French good looks. It may be petite, but this boutique hotel is big on design, from its striking Philippe Starck lighting to furniture by Mies van der Rohe. The emphasis is on cozy, with waffle-thick carpets, brightly colored curtains and plenty of plumped-up cushions. Add in a scattering of lilies in tall vases and a few low-level tables strewn with books, and you’ve got the essence of this easygoing yet elegant hotel close to the city’s main sights.
Bed and Bath
The 41 rooms and suites have plenty of comfort touches, including in-room heating controls, free WiFi and a range of electric adapters to suit travelers from around the globe. Varying only in size, all bathrooms have heated towel racks, full-length mirrors and products by French brand, Fragonard. Best for couples and singles, light-flooded Superior Rooms have queensize beds and street views. Deluxe Rooms have an extra 43 square feet, small salons and bathtubs. Honeymooners and those needing even more space should stay in one of the Plaza’s two Junior Suites, up on the sixth floor. Decked out in warm chocolate tones, these spacious digs have plenty of extra lounge space, large windows and balconies with fabulous views of the tip of the Eiffel Tower.
The Plaza has a small breakfast room, decorated with arty pics of the Eiffel Tower, that opens onto a leafy inner courtyard. For fitness fans, there’s a small but well-equipped gym, and a personal trainer can be arranged. There’s a small lounge bar on-site where you can indulge in drinks and appetizers, but there’s a plethora of excellent bars and gourmet eateries right on the doorstep, including Le Stella, an atmospheric bistro serving typically French dishes, and Les Tablettes Jean Louis Nomicos, a stylish restaurant with silver walls and mirrored surfaces where former Ducasse protégé Nomicos serves up foie-gras-and-truffle-stuffed pasta.
How to Get There
Rooms in the hotel are very noisy. The windows are good but I could hear a lot of noise coming from the corridor and nearby rooms. The walls must be thin or not insulated. Breakfast options are somewhat limited.
Location is very good however
This was an amazing hotel in the perfect location. The management and staff were so friendly and helpful and always had a smile for us. The hotel was really lovely. We had one of the junior suites and the room was so comfortable and spacious and if you went out on the balcony, you had a view of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel was only a 5 min walk to the metro and touristy area of the Trocadéro. But in the other direction was a quiet, beautiful neighborhood with lots of neighborhood restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to anyone traveling to Paris.
Had just a wonderful experience at the Plaza Tour Eiffel Hotel. From the moment we arrived until we departed there was always a freindly face at the front desk always willing to help with directions, recommendations and made various reservations for us. The hotel staff provided with a very comfortable room with an amazing view of the Eiffel Tower which is just a 10 minute walk and welcomed us with fresh bottled water and a wonderful note welcoming us on our anniversary celebration. The Hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood steps from Trocadéro with many nice cafes. Our stay at the Plaza Tour Eiffel exceeded all of our expectations and would highly recommend this Hotel!!
PS if you are planning an early day before breakfast is served ask about their room service or check the order form in your room's hotel paperwork.
