How to Get There
We stayed here during our 5-day trip to Paris last week. The hotel itself is not big but it’s situated conveniently next to Gare Saint-Lazare which gives you great access to transport. A bus also stops across form the hotel which takes you to some of the tourist places. More buses are also available at the end of the road, across from the station. Monmarte is about 15mins walk (up the hill but not steep) and you can simply get there by following the road where the hotel is.
I don’t remember what type of room we had but the bed was super comfortable and so were the pillows (I’m looking to buy some!). The room was spacious and overall comfortable. Our room had two windows which was nice as the room was bright and we could get fresh air as it was earm. There is a minibar, wardrobe and hairdruer available. Also, there is a kettle with coffee and tea. The on,y thing is that they had to block the safe in every room due to a malfunction but that wasn’t really an issue for us. The hotel offers breakfast but we chose to eat out so, I have no feedback on that. The staff were all very nice and one of them was really helpful giving us tips of where to eat etc. The housekeeping team were very discreet and we hardly noticed them, (hotels in Barcelona could learn a thing or two from Paris). Overall a great experience and we would stay there again. Tip: not a hotel for disabled as you have to walk up the stairs to the 1st floor to get the lift to the other floors. We found it easier to just use the stairs as we were on the 2nd floor.
Stayed here with two friends for 2 nights. We stayed in a superior triple. The room was clean and reasonably spacious. Free tea and coffee were provided. Bathroom was quite chic. Only slight issue was the AC which wasn't the best and the safe wasn't operational. Bed was comfortable. The location is great for anyone wanting a central location, buses and metro are very close. The customer service was fantastic. The staff couldn't do enough, including allowing us to realx for a hour or so in the afternoon, before we caught out flight even though we had checked out in the morning. There was also free tea, coffee and cake in the evening.
I stayed here with my other half over a long weekend. The hotel location was very convenient and we were able to see a lot of tourist attractions by foot. The hotel rooms were tiny but really cleverly designed and very cosy clean and comfortable. The reception staff were very polite and helpful. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and it was great value.
Stayed here with two friends for 2 nights. The staff couldn't do enough, including allowing us to chill out for a couple of hours in the afternoon, before we caught out flight even though we had checked out in the morning. Location is perfect for anyone wanting to tour Paris, Metro and buses on your doorstep. We had a great stay, thank you.
My wife and I stayed here for a weekend break from 3 - 5 March 2018. The hotel is centrally located and next to St. Lazare Station, a stop away from Gare du Nord. Be wary of the front entrance doors, they have no signage and open outwards after you buzz, hitting you on the nose. The staff at reception was rather sour-faced, disinterested and sarcastic. No pleasantries. For a family business, youd expect some effort given the choice of hotels arouns. Night staff and other day staff were helpful and nice.
Our room #65 was small but on the 6th floor facing the street. If youd like a quiet, restful night, ask for a room away from the street as the cars and garbage trucks at 5am will keep you up. The furnishings were a little tired looking with the headboard torn, blond hair on one of the pillows and the curtains had a layer of dust at the top. The carpet needed cleaning. The airconditioning does not work and at 1am we had to request that the heating be turned off as it was impossible to sleep. The bed and the bathroom were the only nice features - comfortable, hot water (with strange disco lighting - avoid if you are epileptic), clean towels.
We did not pay for breakfast and glad we didnt have that included as its mostly cake. You do have coffee facilities available all day.
Would we stay here again? No.
