How to Get There
Room Fine. Service poor. Which is why only 3 stars.
Am used to much better service.
Called to say maid had not made up room at 5 pm and was assured it would be cleaned. Returned at 8:30 pm and still not cleaned.
Asked for more coffee - that was brought up after a reminder call 2 hours later.
Surly front desk staff. Not attentive.
No conditioner. Be warned to bring your own.
Convenient to Porte de Versailles for events otherwise why would you stay here?
For the price would expect much better.
Had a great stay at the Mercure Paris Vaugirard Porte de Versailles Hotel. It was not close to the airport and we didn't take the train since it was our first time in Paris. We decided to take the taxi services outside the airport. I would suggest to take the train to and not the taxis if you choose this hotel.
Room was quite comfortable. We had two double beds. Clean washroom. I was impressed by the electric dryer that was found in the bathroom. It had all the amenities that we needed including an iron, ironing board and hairdryer. The hotel is situated where the metro is easily accessible and tons of Italian restaurants nearby. There was also a grocery store and a bakery across the street, that sold delicious pastries and croissants. There is a couple of banks nearby, just a five-minute walking distance, however, there isn't a currency exchange option anywhere nearby this hotel. You must travel 15 minutes via the metro to get to a specific location that exchanges foreign currency. UBER is available anywhere in the city. It was quite useful to get around the city. I loved the atmosphere, it is convenient for a relaxing holiday and quite accessible to necessities.
Most of the staff was great until the day of check out. We had a train to catch at 6 am at a Paris Gard du Nord, that was an hour away. The overnight manager was quite unprofessional and delayed our check out time. Initially, he refused to check us out. He also refused to provide an invoice, for the stay of the hotel, after charging some fees that were not mentioned during check-in. He was rude and not helpful to us and another family, who was also trying to check out. We were forced to leave in haste so that we wouldn't miss our train.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and was pleased with the location right next to a metro stop and tram stop. It was easy to get to Versailles and central Paris. The hotel is modern and there are restaurants and shops nearby. What impressed me most though was the exceptional service I received when trying to track down my sunglasses that I accidentally left in the room after I’d checked out. The staff at the hotel were very helpful in arranging their return for which I’m grateful.
The hotel: the hotel is nice, it feels like a business hotel, very convenient for any event taking place Porte de Versailles.
The rooms: both the rooms and suites are OK without standing out much. In line with what you would expect from a mid-range business hotel.
The service: The staff is helpful, the reception is not the most efficient when it comes to check in and check out.
Food: breakfast is good. Standard fare of fruits, eggs, bacon, great pastries and coffee.
Very good place near metro station, very kind and helpful staff but room cleaning so poor , every single day I ask them to charge the soap ..., breakfast doesn’t have variety and very simple, but totally if I’ll come back here maybe I’ll come here
