How to Get There
The hotel is pretty nice for a Mercure. It has been recently renovated and they did a great job. The rooms are clean and finally the smell of dust that accompanied us in a week trip in France (almost all Mercure hotels) ended.
The bathroom is big and the shower very nice. The bed very comfortable with normal pillows and not those flat "things" they call pillows in France. The room was tidy and clean.
Breakfast was good but nothing special. The hotel is in front of the metro and taxi station.
Me and my friends have just returned from a 3-night stay at this hotel
We were welcomed by a woman at the reception named Gloria, who was rude to us.
She was extremely rude to my one friend. As soon as we had checked in, she tried to charge us extra euros for breakfast as this wasn't included in our stay. My friend had declined her offer and Gloria replied with "Well most of our customers normally do this" and rolled her eyes at us.
Our second night, we had a 10-hour long day at Disneyland, we came back to a clean room only to see that all our empty bottles of drinks weren't cleared away, they were dumped behind the back of our headboard!
I tried to find a member of staff to put a complaint in about this but was with another customer so I didn't want to disturb him.
Then when we checked out, We had to pay city tax which was 25 euros.
There was another customer next to us who was raising his voice at Gloria, you could tell that she was stressed, although she let the customer go WITHOUT PAYING HIS CITY TAX. He gave her the room key and she replied "Yes, that's fine you can go" not even a goodbye or thank you. Surely if you're charging your customer city tax for the duration of their stay, you do the same thing for the other customer too.
This is completely unfair that she let this man go and we had to pay for it. She didn't even greet us with a welcome or goodbye during our stay. She shouldn't be working at a hotel if she cannot be polite and professional towards customers during their stay at this hotel. I definitely won't be recommending this hotel to anyone, Awful service and need to hire new cleaning maids that can put rubbish in A BIN!!!
Fantastic Hotel, clean room and bathroom, spacious and perfectly located. Access to Metro and Exhibition areas in 2 minutes walk. Definitely coming back. I would most definitely recommend the facility to all people traveling to Paris on Business but leisure as well.
The Mercure is well positioned if you are attending the Conference Centre and has a the Underground station (Port de Versailles) about 30 seconds walk away. The hotel provides a very nice room, mine was very clean and comfortable, the bed was very large and comfortable. Mini bar in the room and you can order in wine. There is no food served to the room or I believe a restaurant in the evening, but this is not an issue there are many, many places to eat very close by. The reception staff were efficient and friendly and the breakfast in the Mezzanine floor was good, with a selection of some hot food (Scrambled eggs, sausages) and a full array of continental selections. Overall, perfect if attending the conference, literally 5 minute walk to the entrance across the road (Use the crossing points !) - If planning a couples or family break then this may not be the best option available.
If you have exhibition at Paris Expo...This is your hotel, located few steps away, you just cross the street. Few steps as well to the metro station.
Clean, friendly staff especially at the reception. Poor breakfast!
