First visit to Paris and decent base for site seeing

This hotel is slightly off beaten track for some but near Rome Metro Station and a decent standard hotel.
Reception friendly enough and embarrassed to say could speak fluent English as our French is tres basic...
Rooms were nice enough, beds comfy and all the expected toiletries available.
Thought we had interconnecting rooms as it appeared on the booking but was adjacent rooms. Not a massive thing but not the hotel fault but Hotels.Com which suggested this was the case.
Not a major issue for us and breakfast was decent enough.
Not sure the location would make it first choice for most but a really a decent price for bed and breakfast for 2 rooms so might be a bit harsh.
If you are happy to navigate the metro to save money, highly recommend!!

Great City Break stay!

Just returned from a four night stay at the Mercure Saint Lazare Monceau, in Paris. Brilliant location just a 5 min walk to the metro, and 4 stops to the Arc de Triomphe. Excellent Hotel, very clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and knowledgable. Would definitely stay here again.

Good enough for a night, but not up to Mercure standards

This is a compact hotel, with compact rooms for a high price, even for Parisian standards. Beds are good, airconditioning worked well, so the basics for one night are there. Bathroom could be improved. Television didn't worked due to a very bad signal. The service was very friendly only a bit undertrained.
