Efficient hotel

Another perfect stay: check-in process, receptionist, design of hotel & room, location ... although this time tarnished by a horrible dinner (frozen, cold appetizer & main course which were both basically impossible to eat) & poor room-service manners. Not having available plugs by the desk was also a small issue.

Good hotel, but...

Clean rooms, very centrally located. Staff are nice... some of them or depending on their mood of the day.

All went “ok” with these guys for me until I left. I was on a tight schedule.., so when I got to the hotel from my meetings, I asked for my bags and my taxi was already waiting for me (which was great)

by the time I used the ladies room, the very helpful reception team decided to load my bags in the taxi for me. Again - great job.

However, I get to the airport in Paris traffic on a Monday afternoon after 1.5 hours and only then realized they have given me someone else’s bag and mine is still at the hotel.

By the point I was furious as my flight was in 2 hours and I had a packed trip ahead. Again... not so bad as mistakes do happen...

The worst was when I called them to tell them about the mistake- understandably very upset... the staff who finally answered the phone was soooo rude she actually cut me up asking me to stay quite and listen to her!! She then put me on hold to check supposedly... (international calling of course as I was using my roaming number)... then someone else picked up after good 6-7 minutes and pretended it was fresh call... I was fuming by this point and he decided to hang up the phone on me when I asked him to pass the phone back to the other agent...

I called back: another lady answered. I told her the problem and asked her to please not hang up... she did! Right in my face!

Third time, a gentleman picked up who then finally managed to listen to me and find my bag and send it to me which took an hour of stress... but hey! I got my bag...

I’d definitely reconsider before booking there again!

Central, small, okay for overnight stay
Reviewed 1 month ago

My family and I booked 2 rooms for an overnight stay on 19 April 2018. Check-in was quick although we were charged €112 extra in total for both rooms, which I hadnt noticed until I got to my room. No explanation offered as to why the bill was €500 when it shouldve been €388. I queried this and another member of staff at reception said its hotel policy to charge a deposit of €100 per room. The math still doesnt add up so I feel a little wary of this charge added without discussion. It will be refunded to us this morning. Please pay close attention to your invoice even when knackered at 11pm.

The rooms (standard double and twin) are VERY small and cramped, packed on either side of a very narrow corridor. Id recommend you dont go by the photos online as they are deceptive. The rooms are clean. The pillows are seriously sad - at a minimum, please invest in something better than a lumpy, hard child's pillow with untorn cases (seriously?! See photos). The bathroom is thankfully clean with a hot shower. No toiletries provided - bring your own.

The location is this hotel's biggest selling point. Central to everything which was convenient for an overnight stay.

For €198/night, Id probably stay elsewhere in future as this was a clean but claustrophobic room...and I can usually sleep anywhere!

Business trip

Having tired a few different hotels in Paris for business trips I would say this is the best so far for its price! The staff are friendly, the hotel is pristine and the breakfast is perfect 👌🏻 I would definitely stay here again and most likely will

we have stayed in this hotel before and returned because of its location and courteous service. it is located around the block from Gare St Lazare where muliple bus lines run in every direction and there are many metro lines. a block from the two major department stores, together with the opera and Blvd Haussmann. staff is very courteous and helpful. rooms are comfortable.
