Kind welcome

When I arrived at the hotel early morning after a long trip and i was very happy to meet a professional, caring and enthusiastic staff at the reception with their smart phone for check-in and out. Amazing... I was in the lobby for about two hours waiting for my room but i was fine because they gave all attention to me as Platinium and to all customers.

Great location: small room but in good condition

Location is no.1 as it's somehow calm despite being right in the centre of Paris where everything is happening!Check-in was easy, very polite staff, not too much attention, not too little...just perfect for a business trip. The room is small but having said that, was enough for myself and most importantly, it was clean and in good condition.

Smart small hotel, in the city..

Great lobby, nice location. Its good to stay if you are traveling alone, on business. For families, the rooms are small.. I actually thought its expensive too. But overall a nice hotel, bit expensive for the size of the room..

Average, had no member privileges

Convenient hotel located just a stone’s throw away from major attractions and shopping.

Room was basic and small (typical of Parisian hotels), but came with all the necessary amenities. Our room faced the yard inside and so was quiet (outside breakfast hours only as the yard was the outdoor dining area for breakfast).

Had the customary welcome drink for gold members.

That’s where the positives end.

- As an Accor gold member, we were assigned room 211, which is a room right next to the lift landing and one of the smallest rooms on the floor. No upgrade was offered but we accepted given that it was “subject to availability”. But surely a better location could have been assigned to your valued gold member and not one next to the lift landing especially given that the sound proofing in the rooms are not exactly top notch.

- Hairs were found in one of the towels and on the blanket.

- Staff were not rude but not polite either.

- We requested for a late check out more than 2 months prior when we booked the rooms through the Accor hotels app. Such a request was conveniently forgotten and when requested during check in, was informed rather abruptly that the hotel was fully booked and nothing could be done. Was advised to check again one night before check out to see if a 1 hour late check out was even possible. (For the record, we were, after much checking to and fro, accorded a 2 hour late check out for “no later than 2pm”.)

Item left in room
Reviewed 2 months ago

I recently spent 6 nights in Paris and stayed at the Mercure Paris Opera Garnier hotel. I unfortunately left an item in the room and when I called the hotel to advise them, they immediately located the item and returned it to me free of charge. Unfortunately, during my stay, an item was mistakenly thrown out but the hotel offered to replace the item and ship it to me at the same time as the item I left in the room. I did want to personally thank Julie and Emilie and Guillaume for their personal handling. Great hotel in an outstanding location. (Small rooms for sure but who stays in their room in Paris anyway?!?)
