Reception service

Reception: You have to wait a long time to be served. Then people seemed to be tired, a bit rude.
Location: Very good. You can reach lots of interesting attraction by walking. There is also lots of bus stops near to the hotel.
Room: good

Substandard Hotel
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

As a frequent traveler, I have come to expect certain basic things from a Hotel and it’s staff. On this trip, we were part of a group of 42 travelers. I found the staff unfriendly and useless. We were never greeted at any point when we came in to the hotel. There was a lack of toiletries in bathroom, tiny pillows on the king size bed, no decor in the room, a broken toilet, and a sub-par breakfast. We asked for extra pillows and were looked at like we had three heads. The toilet was never fixed. Although it was functional, the button was never fixed. As part of a group, we were set up for breakfast in a separate room with a minimal buffet and almost kicked out 20 minutes before when they were supposed to close. The temperature in the room was also hard to regulate. The location was decent being close to the metro and some really nice restaurants. On the last day, we discovered all the shops and restaurants up the street next to the cemetery. There was no staff that was offering any help in finding anything, including the sign with our group’s daily events and instructions.

Not crazy about this hotel
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

What can I say. Maybe I’m a little snobby since we are Marriott platinum status customers so our standards are quite high. Overall the hotel was clean and the WiFi wasn’t too bad. The rooms are very sterile. No decorations of any kind and the bed is one square box in the center. Unfortunately for me it was pushed closer to my husbands side “alcove” not side table. And no way to shift it over. So I near fell out of bed attempting to retrieve something in the middle of the night.

There were no toiletries other than one container of combination shampoo and body wash ? And one small soap for the sink. And husband didn’t bring any for himself thinking there’d be things at the hotel. So he made do.

The staff were rather unfriendly. We asked for extra pillows. The king size bed had two tiny standard pillows. One each. We also asked for a Repair of the toilet since the flushing mechanism was loose. This was not fixed but we did get more pillows. The woman at reception was annoyed when we asked to have these items.

Breakfast was poor at best. Caveat here- we were with a tour group and not given the same full buffet that was offered to others. However some fresh fruit perhaps? The scrambled eggs were cold and the consistency of yellow oatmeal. Totally gross and inedible. Breakfast was billed as ending at 10 am however on our second morning a surly young man announced we had five more minutes at precisely 9:37 am.

Location is close to metro and plenty of food. Just be advised you are around the corner from the moulin rouge and many seedy sex shops. If you are a family you may want to consider a less provocative locale.

Great option for short break in Paris
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Stayed with my wife and son at Mercure Paris Montmartre Sacre Coeur for 4 nights in a superior room with a sofa bed.
Well located in one of the most typical and enjoyable areas of Paris, Montmartre, at walking distance of Sacré-Coeur and Moulin Rouge.
Nice room, silent and quiet, with confortable king-size bed ideal for resting after tiresome days exploring Paris.
Very good breakfast buffet, with plenty of quality options.
Most of the staff was friendly and made us feel welcome.
Less positive aspects are the old/dirty carpets and the lack of ammenities usually found at 4-star hotels (only soap and shower gel available).
Overall, this is a great option for families visiting Paris.

Room was not ready
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My grandmother, mother, and I arrived at 3:30pm after two delayed flights in the lobby for check in and our room was not ready. We needed to shower and get ready for meeting our travel companions at that evening. However, we were only told that the room was not ready and the only thing they could do was store our luggage. So, now we are exhausted, and tired waiting in the lobby without a room to get ready in. Not sure what is going on here. I wanted this trip to be special for my mom and grandmother but now it’s just started off horribly.
