Poor breakfast, terrible smell in the room. All my clothes are soaked with this smell. No shampoo, no conditioner, no proper shower gel. Does not meet the requirements of a four star hotel. Wi-fi works very bad.

Big thanks for Monsieur Jean-Francois, receptionist who was working during night 22/23.11.2018. We are traveling a lot, visiting plenty of hotels, and we have never ever met such an open, friendly, helpful person. He is great advert for Mercure - Hospitality with a capital H! Honestly, we would love to see more often people so dedicated at the job they are doing! Sending warm greatings! Monsieur Jean-Francois stay the way You are!

I stay in different hotels every week in Paris and this has to be the most disappointing. I certainly won't be staying here again, nor will I recommend it to any of my colleagues.

Here is what is wrong.... And please remember that they called themselves a four star hotel:

The plug in the basin is jammed shut and the guy on duty could do nothing but keep coming back and banging away in the bathroom to no avail. I finally had to ask him to stop and arrange a plumber to come back the next day.

When I did go to phone and request a repair of the basin the telephone was broken.

When adjusting the shower head the bracket fell off the bottom of the riser.

The desk does not have a chair but a small stool with no back support so you cannot actually be a businessperson and work here.

The little coffee and tea tray is the most pathetic I have seen in any Hotel. Ever.

And for the biggest disappointment of all for somebody who lives more in hotels than at home is the fact that the double bed is actually two beds joined together and the ridge down the middle is such that you cannot sleep on it. Most hotels nowadays have a decent piece of memory foam on top of the normal mattress and therefore you would not feel this ridge down the middle.

The room doors are far too spring loaded so they slam shut, and there is no decent soundproofing so you feel as if it is your door slamming.

My two most positive experiences were the young lady at reception when I checked in and the very willing non plumber who tried to fix the plumbing.

And so now I settle in for the first of three nights and wish I could go somewhere else but all hotels are full.

Perfect hotel

Stayed here twice now as it’s such a good location with the metro only across the road. You can hop straight onto the metro and be at the Eiffel Tower in 10 minutes with no changes. Stayed once with my partner last year and this time with a group of 7 ladies. Very clean and modern hotel. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Excellent stay both times. There was a homeless man outside but that’s a problem everywhere in Paris and you never felt unsafe. We were coming back to the hotel in the early hours too and always felt so safe.

Great location

The hotel is in a great location and is clean and tidy.

Very friendly staff and happy to help with enquiring about sites around them.

Room was small and not much room for luggage.

Overall, very nice place with a good buffet breakfast
