How to Get There
Stayed here in January 2019 for one night. Location worked well for me for a meeting but hotel is only around the corner from the Metro. Room was very nice and a decent size by Paris standards. Nice bar area. Breakfast was excellent with chef cooking omelettes to order. Would definitely use this hotel again.
Handsome hotel with professional, friendly staff. Room was comfortable; we had no problems with the bathroom as others have reported--and my husband is 6'2".
Of note is the varied and delicious breakfast buffet served by smiling staff. A lovely way to begin one's day.
I visit Paris every year either alone or with my daughter or a friend. Every time I stay at Melia Hotel and at the same room because it feels like home. The location could not be better for a visitor that wants to be around boutiques, restaurants, cafes ,bars and other hotels. The staff is very kind and helpful. The room is comfortable with great street view.I will certainly visit Melia again.
My husband and I stayed here for more than a week. The location is convenient—you can easily walk to the Tuileries and the Louvre, and shop to your heart's content at all the boutiques on Rue Saint-Honoré. It's close to several Métro lines, so we were able to visit the other arrondissements easily.
The guestroom itself was charming and spacious for two (for European standards). The bed was very comfortable, and we had no complaints about the bathroom. The free wi-fi was fast and we had no problems with it during our entire stay. We also had the buffet breakfast a few mornings. (Be sure to sign up for Meliã Rewards. If you get Silver level, your companion gets a free breakfast!) Everyone working there was kind, too.
The one thing we really disliked was the size of our toilet room, which is separate from the bathroom. The fact that it was separate didn't bother us at all. However, it was impractically tiny, literally no larger than 4 feet by 2 feet. I'm 5'4", and I could just barely close the door to the toilet room when I walked in; my knees touched the door when I closed it. My husband, at nearly 6'0", couldn't even close the door. The toilet room is literally designed for people under 5'0", and even then it would still feel quite claustrophobic. I'm not sure if all the guest rooms have toilet rooms this small, or if we were just unlucky, but it was probably the most uncomfortable toilet situation of any hotel we've stayed in. I probably wouldn't complain this much if we had only stayed here for 1–2 nights, but we were here for more than a week and it was pretty annoying/ridiculous (and not something we could get used to).
Also, I'm not sure if it was because we were on the first floor and right next to the lift, but we could hear a lot of noise from the hallway throughout the day and night. The rooms definitely aren't soundproofed. Perhaps the noise quality is better on higher floors.
For a Meliã hotel, we were a bit disappointed. We previously stayed at the one in Berlin, which was fantastic and seemed to have more amenities. I guess at Meliã Vendôme, you're paying for the location (which is, to its credit, a prime area).
We stayed here for 3 nights. We decided to use Delta Vacations for air & hotel. This was one of the hotel options. The location is great by the Tuileries Garden and perfect for walking to small cafes, restaurants, Vendome plaza, Louvre and Musee D'Orsay. We used the Red hop on hop off bus for 2 days which was a walk to get to a pick up site. No one could really tell us where to buy tickets & instead directed us to another company- easy mistake.
