Another tired Marriott

It's OK but a general feeling of drabness - no doubt because most people don't choose to stay here, but do because that is where the congress is. A suite was a nice surprise but the penalty was constant noise from the service elevators all day and night. It was a low level knocking noise but intensely irritating. No instructions on how to adjust heating or AC, with small dials almost impossible to turn.

Great location, fine hotel

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days- two at the begining of our tour and two at the end.
The hotel was clean, at a good location, and the staff were friendly and helpfull.
Our first day, we enjoyed breakfast in the regular dining room, after that, we were in the dining room for groups. Regular guests get the services of an omlet chef, and slightly different menu choices, but all in all, breakfast was good. Both had fresh fruit, and wonderful bread and pastries. Bed were comfortable, our room had a great view, my daughters, faced a wall. Elevators were fast, but you needed your key to operate, and on one occassion my husband went for ice, and was unable to operate...had to press emengency button. Close to Metro and a small grocery just around the corner! Not super fancy, so therefore only very good, not excellent.

Love the location

We love the location which is an easy downhill walk from the Denfert-Rochereau RER/metro station (where the RER B lines connect direct to Charles de Gaulle Airport) and just across the street from the Glacière stop on the 6 metro line. It is also convenient to numerous restaurants, as well as the Marche Auguste Blanqui every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday morning. But I do wish they would get the fluctuating hot-cold shower resolved, and offer to eggs (other than those which come pre-scrambled in a carton) on their breakfast buffet. Be sure to specify you want your charges in Euros or they may default to the higher-exchange-rate charge in dollars.
