Excellent hotel, friendly and helpful staff!

I had a wonderful visit at the Lyric hotel. The property was immaculately clean and modern. My room was very comfortable and the expresso machine in my room much appreciated. The location was perfect and easy to walk to the monuments and museums. I felt very safe while staying at The Lyric Hotel. I look forward to staying there again next year.

First-class option in Paris
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Having stayed at Airbnb properties for most of our Europe trip, it was a little bit of a shock stepping into the Lyric room which was not nearly as large as the apartments we'd gotten used to.

But that's to be expected. By Paris hotel standards, the Lyric room was a decent size, with two chairs and a nice big window that opened for fresh air. With the window closed, the room was quiet and the HVAC system worked well to keep it cool on an unseasonably warm early May weekend.

We'd stayed at the Lyric a few years prior, which meant we were eligible for a good special 'VIP' rate that included breakfast. The buffet is extensive and filling. It was a nice way to start the day.

I believe there is a gymnasium and a pool, but we didn't try either one.

I speak some French, and the staff at the Lyric were usually quite patient and friendly when it came to trying to understand and converse with my garbled syntax.

And the staff were very kind to arrange for some silk rose petals to be scattered on the bed in a heart-shaped design in honor of our wedding anniversary.

Overall, I was impressed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the room and the property. I thought the cleaning staff did an excellent job every day and they were cheerful and friendly when I encountered them in the hallways.

And the location is quite good, especially if you're keen on Asian food, as there quite a few good restaurant options nearby. (We had very good ramen at Hokkaido just a couple minutes walk from the hotel.)

All in all, Lyric is a very nice boutique option with some high-class style and a fun music-oriented theme.

My only quibble would be that the glassed-in bathroom is a bit too transparent with not enough sound or visual isolation. I think that's one area where Lyric erred a bit too far on style over substance, but it wouldn't prevent me from booking Lyric again on a future Paris trip.

Lovely Small Hotel

Lovely small boutique hotel. Rooms are modern and clean, and themed with the ‘Opera’ in mind. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfasts are buffet style with both hot and cold food available. It’s situated within a few minutes walk of the Opera and with two metro stops close by it’s an ideal location for visiting all the sights.
