Small but perfectly formed

My wife and I stayed for a few nights at this lovely hotel. We received a very warm welcome from the gentleman on reception, who asked if we needed any help or advice for our stay. We took him up on some useful tourist tips.

The room was quite small but had everything we expected to find. There was a double bed, flat screen TV, a small desk, a kettle, a selection of tea and coffee, mini-fridge and free Wifi. The bathroom had an over bath shower, along with the usual stuff.

In the reception lobby, the hotel offers free beer, wine, along with hot and cold soft drinks, meats, cheese, bread, cakes, brownies and more.

The hotel is around 10 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower, 5 minutes from Ecole Militaire and a similar distance from Hotel Les Invalides.

There is a multitude of great restaurants, cafes and supermarkets in the local area. A 15 minute walk will uncover ‘big brand’ fast food restaurants and coffee shops.

The only downside to the location of the hotel is that it’s hard to get to on public transport from Charles de Gaulle, requiring a train and three Metro rides (costing around €25). Taxis are fixed price into the city at €55 plus extras. We paid €62 all in for the journey back to the airport on a Sunday. For two or more people, take a taxi, unless you’re on a budget.

The hotel is old, and as such, certain areas are small. The staircases of tiny width steps being one example. If you have big feet like me, take the elevator - it’s less scary!

Amazing service and lovely reception/lounge

The service from walking through the door was exceptional. There was lovely little touches such as a smartphone in the room to take around paris, and some refreshments in the chic lobby/chill room. The atmosphere was very relaxing in there and the decor lovely.

We had an executive room, which was nice and a perfect size. I can imagine rooms that the standard room would be too small. We were originally put in a room next to the reception on the ground floor but as there was an annoying noise (apparently from the hotel next door), we got moved to a lovely room on the 5th floor which was even nicer, so we were really pleased about that!

Location is good - not SUPER central but a 15 min walk to the eiffel tower and in the nice quiet area of St Germain. Right near the metro station too which was easy to get to form the eurostar.

Overall great service and decor and exactly what we needed!

Excellent Experience, Safe Surroundings, Comfortable and Cozy

Hotel le Tourville provided a wonderful experience! The gentleman who checked us in was delightful, knowledgeable and generous. The front desk team is consistent and offers a great arrival experience. They escort you toward the elevator and offer the hotel amenities. The room is comfortable, clean and cozy. A mini refrigerator is provide. The room offered a complimentary “Travel Buddy” which was a smartphone with internet and calling accessibility! What a neat idea!! The breakfast was delicious, and offered a variety of cheeses, meats, breads as well as egg options. The lobby had a great communal area which featured comfortable seating areas, a well-stocked refrigerator with refreshments such as juice, coke, water, carbonated water and Heineken beer. A great espresso machine was available and complimentary 24/7. In the evening, complimentary charcuterie and light pastries were offered. This hotel was walking distance to many areas (if you enjoy walking as much as we do!) We walked to the Eiffel Tower (15-20 mins away) and the Arch (10 mins). This was a safe, walkable and enjoyable neighborhood to reside in for a few days! Should our travels bring us back to Paris, we will return to Hotel le Tourville!

A 25th Anniversary Treat

Our children clubbed together to buy us a 3 night stay in Paris and included in the trip was this Hotel. Location wise this was a good choice as it was so close to the Eiffel Tower one of the main focuses of our trip. Due to an early flight we had arranged with the hotel to leave our luggage in their luggage room so we were able to have a good look about before our afternoon check in. The room itself was very nice and had a writers theme with quotes from Voltaire and Baudelaire on the walls. The downside was it was on a busy main road and road noise would have been an issue if we didn't buy some earplugs from a chemist nearby, especially as Parisian drivers like the horn on their vehicles.
Management and staff were all very professional and our lack of French was never a problem. Overall a good Hotel if a little on the pricey side but that was the area we were in.

Absolutely perfect

We cannot fault this hotel. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Only a very short walk to the metro and the Eiffel Tower and surrounded by numerous bars and restaurants. The room was small but immaculate and the bed was comfortable. We had a lovely balcony overlooking the beautiful buildings of the Parisian street below. Breakfast was good. It rained heavily during our stay and the staff even handed out complimentary umbrellas! We hope to return to Paris when the sun is shining and will definitely stay here.
