How to Get There
Unique rooms, very clean. Friendly and helpful staff attending the front desk and personable attendant at our fabulous breakfast. Centrally located on Left Bank near Metro and Luxembourg Gardens. Would recommend this Boutique Hotel
It’s a walking distance from the Pantheon and most attractions. Bed was comfortable, the staff were super friendly and helpful. There is a bar and a restaurant which is visible at the entrance. Honestly, the aesthetics are beautiful!
We stayed here in September and we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately the hotel didn’t quite live up to expectations.
It’s a nice looking hotel in a quaint street but we found it was just slightly out of the way and at the end of the a long day, it was a bit of a trek to get back to the hotel- although the Luxembourg metro station is only a few streets away. The overall location is good with the Luxembourg gardens a real treat and the pantheon not too far away. There are bistros in the street and patisseries not too far away and the street that the hotel is on is nice and quiet so these are all good things.
However, other things about the hotel were a bit disappointing. The room on the first floor was pretty small - although that’s to be expected in Paris. But given the fairly expensive price, we would have expected other amenities to be a bit more top notch. The towels and bathrobes were very threadbare and not a great look for a boutique hotel of this nature. Investment in some new linen would be a very good idea. It was nice to receive a welcome note and a bowl of plums on arrival but a little more generosity when it came to thinks like milk and coffee and toiletries would have been more appreciated. I was also pretty disappointed to find that the nespresso machine in the lobby came at a cost on the final bill - for the room rate I would have expected that coffee would be gratis as it is in other hotels in a similar price bracket and at three Euros for each capsule, it’s pretty steep and a bit of a nasty surprise to find on your bill. The rooms themselves are in need of a bit of care - the paint is scratched and looks a bit shabby and again, at this price you are expecting something a little better. There is also quite a bit of noise that comes in from other rooms although the outside street noise is relatively quiet. Overall it was an ok stay but unfortunately there were too many things that let it down.
After few hard days I could not imagine better place to stay for few nights. Little, cozy, boutique hotel in typical french style. If you want to stay away from high rise hotels with 1000 rooms and want to feel the "real Paris "- this is the place to go. I travelled with my adult daughter and we liked their comfortable beds, L’Occitane products in the bathroom and walking distance to all landmarks. Everybody was extremely nice and friendly. But since you are in Paris , do not be surprised by tiny elevater and tiny staircase. I plan my next stay in October and definitely stay in the same hotel.
We stayed for a weekend break.
Fab location near Luxembourg and easy walking distance to the river, Notre Dame, Sorbonne etc.
Check in and check-out were quick and helpful, with staff warm and welcoming throughout the stay.
Room was quite large for Paris, with quirky garden themed decor. It was reasonably clean, although a bit of wear and tear showing (a few stains on carpet, chipped paint etc). Bathroom was decent with Bathtub (with jets), lovely Occitane amenities & bathrobes. Can’t comment on breakfast, as at 17Euros, we ate elsewhere.
We paid ~£150 a night and for that price would stay again. .
