How to Get There
We stayed in the hotel 3 nights and I selected this hotel mostly because of the location, good room size (we booked one of their Junior suites) and very good reviews from other guests regarding the service and staff performance.
Location is really perfect. It´s just few steps from Louvre and Tuileries Garden and very close to others such as Place Concorde (with big Ferris wheel), Place Vendome (lovely bar in Ritz hotel), Opera Garnier and others.
Our junior suite has a good size, very comfortable bed and soft bedlinen, bathrobe and slippers, also Hermes shower gel, shampoo and body lotion. It was located in 5th floor and I would say it was a quiet room.
Also I know that watching TV is not the main purpose to travel to Paris. But it´s good being informed so having at least BBC and CNN on list would be great. Well there was CNN but do not know why it was available couple of minutes and then dissapeared. Truth is we didn´t claim this.
Breakfast in their cellar was decent however some photos of breakfast from hotel photogallery does not match with the real situation. The space itself is very charming. My only reservation is about tables and seats. The side ones are ok. But if the middle table is busy you have no space to go around to the station with eggs and pastry or cold buffet on the opposite side.
And the service. I wad excited about communication with the hotel reception prior our arrival. They reaction time was very short and replied all my questions. Our flight was deleyed so that we arrived around 11pm on 4th May which I announced to the hotel. Again an immediate reply "no worry we are waiting you". But the guy at the reception was "a gift" and I had a totally different feeling from him then from other staff members. Firstly he even didn´t say any welcome word such as "Hello and welcome to Le Pradey". Then he said your room number is 52 and go by lift to 4th floor. I verified with him if he really ment 4th floor as the room started with 5. So we went to 4th floor. Surprisingly all rooms on 4th floor started with 4. So I went to 5th floor were all rooms had names but no numbers. So we went back to reception to ask again. He said no 4th but 5th floor. So I replied that I checked this floor and no numbers. And his replied shocked me as he said "Really? I don´t know.". Then he said it was his first day....well may understand but knowing about room location seems to be a must for reception staff.
I stayed here for one weekend in May and had a wonderful time. Great location, super helpful and friendly staff. The softest towels, and super comfy bed. Celebrated my 25th with a champagne breakfast in bed and everything about it was so lovely. It's a really short walk to the river, and central to most tourist attractions starting with the Louvre. Had a great time and would definitely stay again.
We booked a week at this hotel as part of our 45th wedding anniversary celebration so we were looking for something a bit special and were not disappointed. The location is very convenient for sightseeing - half a block from the Jardins des Tuilleries and a short walk from the Louvre, Musée D'Orsay, and L'Orangerie. The Paris City Vision tours leave from their office one block away and there are many restaurants within easy walking distance. If you want to range further afield, there are three Metro stations nearby.
Our room was attractively decorated, the bed was very comfortable, and the bath was quite modern with a shower featuring both rain and telephone shower heads. The room was quiet; the windows do a good job of blocking out street noise. Breakfast in the cellar is a traditional European spread of pastries, fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, cereals, as well as scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage, all very good and actively restocked by a staff member.
The staff are mostly young, speak good English, and were always very eager to help with any requests; they were a delight and one of the reasons we would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
My Wife and I have just returned from a long weekend here. This Hotel is within a five minute wak from the Louvre, and about ten minutes from the left bank of the Seine, at the Louvre you can catch a hop on and hop off bus, well worth it.!.
The Hotel itself is fabulous, the breakfast awesome, and sets you up for the day, we will be back soon and will definitely stay here again...!
I spent a great deal of time researching Paris hotels. Location, price, amenities, style. Now that I am here, in the hotel I am elated with my selection.
The Pradey is a small boutique hotel and I would guess there are only 30-40 rooms. It is a solid four stars. No bellman or curbside service, but it is on quiet side street and easy to negotiate from your taxi to the lobby. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, English-fluent, helpful, shall I go on?
I was escorted to my room and shown the amenities. The décor is contemporary and very tasteful. The bathroom is immaculate but on the small side (hey it’s Paris!). My favourite room feature are the windows. They open to reveal the picturesque street and neighbourhood below.
Breakfast is in a beautiful basement cavern. Wonderful options eggs, sausages, crepes, fresh fruit bowls, continental meats, cheeses, cereals – everything you would expect but fresh and delicious.
Location, location, location! <200 metres from the Louvre, Jardin de Tulieres! The neighbourhood has everything you need, yet quite and relaxed at the same time.
The property is small and their food and beverage program is minimal. If you fancy a glass of rose or a little nosh, Wander three blocks down the street to the Terrasse at The Westin Vendome.
Hotel Le Pradey is definitely my hotel of choice for future visit to Paris. Exceptional value!
