In a quiet residential area in the 15th Arrondissement, a five-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, Le Marquis is a contemporary and cozy boutique retreat that has just undergone a hip refurbishment by Parisian interior designer Oscar Ono. Behind a traditional Haussmann façade, the lobby features pillars decorated in abstract designs and a mirror-lined bar, and the breakfast room leads through to a leafy courtyard terrace and a snug sitting room with library. Furnished with low tables and lounge chairs, the public spaces are decked out in muted tones of gray, burnished copper and brown. The restrained gray and cream palette in the guestrooms is offset by zebra patterned carpeting, while the spirit of the Parisian dandy is reflected in a series of black-and-white photographs that decorate the walls. The rooms also feature flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, a desk area and ample closet space, and nearly all the 36 rooms (Classic and Executive) feature a bathtub and Hermès accessories.
In the Area
The Eiffel Tower is a five-minute stroll from the property and offers unparalleled views of the City of Lights. At the other end of the tree-lined Champ de Mars is the golden dome of the Hôtel des Invalides, which houses Napoleon’s magnificent tomb. From the Eiffel Tower you can walk along the Seine to the Musée d’Orsay, with its wonderful collection of 19th-century paintings covering Romanticism, Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. On a fine evening head over to the Montparnasse Tower to eat in the clouds at the aptly named restaurant Ciel de Paris. In the experienced hands of top chef Christophe Marchais, the restaurant also proposes a “souper” menu at 11 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for those coming out of the nearby theaters on an empty stomach.
How to Get There
This is a lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and responsive. The room was a good size and the bath modern. It was clean. The location is great. Several metro are a few blocks away. It's a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower but still residential, so quiet at night. A bakery and grocery store are right next door.
My wife and I booked the hotel for a weekend away. The hotel is a terrific property only 5 mins walk to the Eiffel Tower in a quiet safe area.
The staff were all terrific and we were checked in super early and given an upgrade too.
Rooms are lovely and the property has free WiFi. There is a supermarket over the road for grabbing lunch whilst out exploring.
We both had a great nights sleep and beds are comfy. Thanks for a great stay.
We’ll be back and be recommending.
Lovely hotel! Great two night stay and great location. Metro gets you everywhere and there’s a station literally 2 mins from hotel. You’re around the corner from Eiffel Tower and there’s lots of nice restaurants close by too. Room was spacious enough and bed comfy. Would stay again!
