In a quiet residential area in the 15th Arrondissement, a five-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, Le Marquis is a contemporary and cozy boutique retreat that has just undergone a hip refurbishment by Parisian interior designer Oscar Ono. Behind a traditional Haussmann façade, the lobby features pillars decorated in abstract designs and a mirror-lined bar, and the breakfast room leads through to a leafy courtyard terrace and a snug sitting room with library. Furnished with low tables and lounge chairs, the public spaces are decked out in muted tones of gray, burnished copper and brown. The restrained gray and cream palette in the guestrooms is offset by zebra patterned carpeting, while the spirit of the Parisian dandy is reflected in a series of black-and-white photographs that decorate the walls. The rooms also feature flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, a desk area and ample closet space, and nearly all the 36 rooms (Classic and Executive) feature a bathtub and Hermès accessories.
In the Area
The Eiffel Tower is a five-minute stroll from the property and offers unparalleled views of the City of Lights. At the other end of the tree-lined Champ de Mars is the golden dome of the Hôtel des Invalides, which houses Napoleon’s magnificent tomb. From the Eiffel Tower you can walk along the Seine to the Musée d’Orsay, with its wonderful collection of 19th-century paintings covering Romanticism, Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. On a fine evening head over to the Montparnasse Tower to eat in the clouds at the aptly named restaurant Ciel de Paris. In the experienced hands of top chef Christophe Marchais, the restaurant also proposes a “souper” menu at 11 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays for those coming out of the nearby theaters on an empty stomach.
How to Get There
Great location, just 10 min from the Eiffel Tower.
Very courteous and friendly staff who also took care of girlfriend's birthday with a bottle of Champagne.
The Room was very clean and great to have a cordless phone to call internationally (FREE) and take it with you if needed.
Stored as the place to stay when visiting Paris again
Just come back from our mini break in Paris for my birthday and was really impressed with the hotel. First off we got upgraded to an executive room as it was my birthday and the room and the staff were excellent.
The room was big, clean with lovely comfy beds and a mini fridge with great coffee and tea making facilities. The Metro is just around the corner and you are about 10 mins from the Eiffel tower!
Compared to everywhere else in Paris, the hotel is very good value for money so I would highly recommend. I had read some bad reviews about the breakfast which is unfounded, the choice is continental but very good and the coffee is excellent. I would stay here again and would also recommend to friends.
We had spoken several times about staying at this hotel, and had a 2-night stay earlier this month. On arrival, the receptionist - Loic ?? - ostentatiously kept his face to his computer screen until he felt it was the right time to address us. We were booked into a room on the Floor 6 but were left at the lift to find our own way. The whole of Floor 6 was cold and when my wife complained to Loic, she was told to snuggle under the duvet as no technician was available. The thermostat registered 17.5 deg C !!! We complained next morning to another receptionist and was assured that the heating would be fixed, which it was when we returned later in the day. The breakfasts were crowded and the servers were overwhelmed by the number of guests. It took three requests to get hot milk for the coffee !! On check out we were given a reduction of 38 Euros equivalent to the price of two breakfasts.
So to claim that this is a 4 star hotel is a bad joke. Perhaps 2 star would be appropriate and the employers need to give some clear advice to Loic as to how to behave.
Would we stay here again - not a chance !!!
So we have just come back from Paris... and your hotel helped complete our wonderful trip to your beautiful city!
The staff couldn’t help us anymore they spoke brilliant English which was a massive help as our french was very poor!.. they helped book our river cruise trip with a discounted rate and told us exactly how to get there.
Our room was beautiful and gave us a balcony as requested and even gave us a complimentary bottle of fizz and the macaroons were delicious!! They even greeted us by saying happy birthday to my partner.
The breakfast was delicious and the hotel was in the perfect location! Bakery next door, quiet street supermarket opposite and cannot believe how near the Eiffel Tower was!
My other half also proposed 💍💕 so I know when we will return we will definitely be back to this hotel!
Thankyou so much again and Thankyou to you’re wonderful staff .. they do a great job! And the rooms were lovely xxx
Below expectations for the price. Lamp wasn’t working and the temperature inside the room wasn’t ideal and could not be changed. Sadly had normal expectations but left disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend
