Great hotel

I had a lovely time at Cinq Codet. Especially I'd like to thank Fabio for his kind and caring service. The rooms were perfect, what you'd expect from a hotel of this prestige, and breakfast was excellent with a great variety. Absolutely recommended

We stayed 4 nights in Paris and were very happy with the hotel. While the 7th arrondissement may not be as chic or bustling as others in the city, access to the Metro or a short ride by cab or Uber to other parts of the city renders the hotel's location less inconvenient. The staff was excellent and very helpful to those who don't speak French. We worked with a couple of concierges and they were nothing but accommodating whenever we needed help. The room (deluxe) was roomy enough and very updated. The only blemish was the elevator was out of service at various times during our stay, however I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Perfect Paris Oasis

We stayed here for my birthday trip and absolutely loved it. We got the penthouse terrace suite and it was amazing! The views of the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides were amazing. The outdoor hot tub and terrace were perfect after a day out on the town. The interior is contemporary and well decorated. I would recommend this room to anyone looking for an above and beyond experience!

Very nearly a great hotel

We stayed 4 nights at LecCinq Codet, and overall we enjoyed our stay. But, for the cost, it comes up short in several areas that hold it back from being a true 5 star hotel.

We found the location in the Eiffel Tower neighborhood to be a perfect jumping off point to see this amazing city. We were able to walk to many of Paris’ landmarks and took the Metro, with a stop very close by, to all the neighborhoods. The property is tucked in off the major roads, so it’s quiet with a feel of seclusion.

However, although the room was clean with all the amenities you’d expect in this price range, we found the room itself to be rather annoying. Their desire to create a very tech centric room results in the feeling of always having to fight with it. The switches that control the lighting and window coverings was a constant battle. Which switch works what light? It will likely take you several attempts to figure how to make a phone call from the room. I appreciate the idea of these modern conveniences, but it should be much more intuitive...I’d use the Langham in Chicago as a comparison where the technology is seamless.

The room itself was rather small, but well designed, with the exception of scarce storage space. The comfort level of the bed was good, but not up to the standards of this type of property. The staff was friendly and professional, but not overly so. Again, when one chooses a property of this caliber, the expectation is high and the staff was not quite up to that standard.

One note on the fitness room and spa area...the fitness area is quite small and nearly worthless. It also has such an overwhelming fragrance that permeates the spa/fitness area that it’s hard to stand. Even walking down the hall and passing by that area, it’s overpowering. They do have a nice open air hot tub and an adequate wet sauna.

Overall, this is a very nice property, located in a fantastic neighborhood. For the cost however, I’d likely try another property in this category when I’m next in Paris.

Very Nice Hotel

This hotel is conveniently situated in the Invalides area, with small convenience store, supermarket and several restaurants around the corner, and 15 -20 min walk to Eiffel Tower. For our 5 night anniversary trip we chose the smallest room as we thought we would spend most of the day out and about the city. The room was rather small-as expected, but it had the needed amenities. I have to agree with other reviews that the lighting was a bit confusing, and the bed was comfortable but a little on the hard side. We did not have any issues with the bathroom; good shower pressure, replenished toiletries, simple hairdryer and overall sufficient space in the bathroom. The hotel provided a complimentary bottle of water in the room, which was good enough for the time we spent there. The air conditioning was a bit of an issue the first night as it was on the warmer side. We got used to it as the days passed by, but I recommend you do not compare it to U S air conditioning standards. I am glad my visit was not during the summer time, as I am not sure I could have taken the ac temperature inside the room. The common areas such as reception, outdoor terrace and breakfast/bar area are nicely decorated and properly maintained. We chose a room rate that included breakfast. The breakfast consisted of coffee, tea and selection of 3-4 different juices. Every day there were ready-made scrambled eggs, and trays with assortment of cold cuts such as ham, prosciutto, turkey, 3-4 types of cheese, cherry tomatoes, 2 varieties of yogurt and cereals with different toppings, along with some fruit and at least 6 varieties of bread/pastries, including delicious croissants. Coffee was excellent and they can gladly prepare a small simple omelette if you do not wish to have the ready made eggs. In my opinion and contrary to some other reviews, we had a great experience with all personnel. From the young bellmen to the reception, concierge and breakfast area employees. They are highly attentive to their guests’ needs and extremely professional and well mannered. Our overall experience was very nice, and I would definitely come back to Le Cinq Codet next time I visit Paris.
