Give your next Paris break the stylish twist it deserves with a stay at Hotel Whistler: a freshly renovated, train-themed bolthole which really ought to be your next stop, if you’re after an unforgettable sojourn in the French capital’s romantic heart. Perfectly situated just a few steps from the Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est train stations in the city’s 10th arrondissement, it makes sightseeing particularly easy: you’ve the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, Montmartre and other superb sights just a metro hop and skip away.
On the accommodation front, plush beds, modern bathrooms and simple-yet-chic colour palettes perfectly complement the unique interiors, which reference train travel from the Belle Epoque period – with features such as overhead luggage racks and suitcases-turned-shelving units making a bold statement throughout. Elsewhere, you’ll find a welcoming lobby (where a real-time Gare du Nord departure board even turns the space into the perfect waiting room), a delicious buffet spread of French treats for breakfast, and a hammam filled with the calming fragrance of essential oils – the perfect treat after a busy day of sightseeing.
How to Get There
We were on a short break to Paris. The Whistler is far from gimmicky with its train theme. The room was clean and compactidy, providing everything you need for a short break. En suite bathroom was spacious with heated towel rail,a hairdryer, a super sink and a large walk in shower with a good head of hot water. Toiletries provided. The bed was very comfortable and the room, on the 6th floor, was quiet, cosy and warm. A large (free) bottle of water was replenished daily. We had breakfast included. Buffet style with an excellent choice of cheeses, meats, fruit, yoghurt etc plus a variety of breads, croissants etc. Proper fresh orange juice and hot drinks fron a machine. The coffee and hot chocolate was excellent. (Sadly, no English tea bags!) The receptionist was very helpful and obliging. The location made it easy to reach all parts of Paris. Thoroughly recommend Hotel Whistler.
Lovely hotel and the staff were very helpful, breakfast ok but not a lot you can do in such a small hotel. The hotel served its purpose and the bed was comfy.
Tiny toilet room but the shower was lovely
This was my 2nd stay at Hotel Whistler. I had a few issues during my first stay with housekeeping which I had posted in a review. However, hotel management went out of their way to prove to me what an amazing hotel they are so I removed that review. The location is ideal for accessing Gare du Nord. The hotel is uniquely decorated in a train theme. The breakfast was plentiful and they accommodate for gluten free upon request. The double glazed balcony windows ensure peace and quiet but also afford nice views. The staff and management are wonderful and I am so impressed with their kindness. Thanks again. I will definitely be back!
