Great Location but covered with scaffolding

The hotel is lovely. I can’t comment on the exterior as it’s covered with scaffolding and hoarding. Staff couldn’t be nicer. They put up with our hesitant french! Breakfast was self service including making your own tea but extensive. Bed linen disappointing. We were on our anniversary and got a twin room with beds on castors so the beds flew apart at the slightest touch - we did ask for a queen or king size bed ..... bathroom was warm. Bit disappointed with the worn and thin carpet. Would recommend to go but check out the rooms.

Family weekend break

What a delightful hotel! The reception staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us. The two ladies on reception welcomed us so beautifully and it made the weekend stay so special. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were charming. Location perfect and we will definitely return.

Great location, but very outdated. On balance: avoid if you can find something else at a similar price

I really don't like this type of hotel: rooms desperately need upgrading, bed is uncomfortable and it's not particularly clean. And I got an upgrade!!
But then you can't fault the location: cool bars in the neighborhood and obviously very central.
The two stars I gave it are on the basis of location only. If it was not a good location, this would be a one- or zero-stars
