Stands out form the rest!

I think I have found my new Parisian home (having lived in Paris long before)!

I'm used to tiny rooms in France - not the case at this hotel the room was a very decent size and really well fit-out (whoever the interior designor was did an amazing job - it must be quite new). Not only was it close to my business appointments, it was also literally on the doorstep of the Champs Elysees and a lot of other landmarks so for once I actually got to do some sightseeing as well as meetings in Paris!

The restaurant where we had our business lunch was awesome - the staff were great, the food was awesome (I had a mushroom and egg starter which was really good) and the impressive glass ceiling in dining room was worth the visit on its own!

Same with all the people working there, friendly (but not familiar) helpful but not overbearing, they seemed to have figured out how much attention I wanted just right.

I keep promising my significant other a trip to Paris – now I know where we will be staying!

Truly kind & caring 5-star staff!

Caught in between two police barricades, guarding a protest, we were approached on the street by the Director of Operations and were welcomed into the hotel, while the events outside unfolded. After enjoying a scrumptious onion soup, we were personally escorted through the barricade and went on to have a wonderful time in Paris. Definitely worth it's 5-star rating - starting with its staff's great human quality and impeccable attitude of service.

Enjoyed the friendliness and graciousness of staff. Hotel in excellent position, one street back from The Champs-Elysées and about 150 metres from the Drugstore. room clean and well serviced, comfortable bed. Does not do meals Sunday evening. Could do with so where or stand to put suitcase.

Not a 5 star

I was surprised that the hotel was a 5 star. Maybe a 4 star. No greeting at front of hotel unlike say Fourseasons. Had to carry my bags in my self.

Room was smaller than expected which would have been fine if if was super luxury but it wasnt the decor in the toilet was poor, the bathroom had had a leak and the wood around shower was stained. It was presented well but not to 5 star.

The tv remote didn't work and had to have new batteries.

Breakfast was basic and no better than a travel lodge.

Our evening meal in restaurant was the taster menu. The food was good but the service wasn't . I had to pour our own wine as waiting staff were not attentive. They did not give an explanation as to the course which is normally the case with a Taster Menu... The waiter dropped something on our table and broke a glass that went everywhere - he didn't make a fuss or apologise in fact he said to me "Don't worry these things happen" as if it were my fault! For 400 euros for two for the two is was mediocre experience which was a great shame as it was my wife's birthday.

My rating of 2 stars means 2 out of 5 for failing to meet expectations of 5 star hotel. I would rate the hotel as a 4 star hotel.

Great property to bring your family for a weekend break in Paris.Warm staff, clean and stylish rooms, and exceptional location. I would recommend this property to new visitors to the city.A real sense of Old World Paris in the building's history but modern interior compliments this perfectly.
