There’s a lovely home-from-home vibe across this hotel’s typically Parisian-style guest rooms, all of which tempt with parquet flooring, pretty pastel fabrics, and whitewashed wooden furnishings. Overlooking the peaceful Rue Taylor or the courtyard, all come with comfortable beds, feminine flourishes and pristine en-suite bathrooms.
While there’s no restaurant, the elegant dining room is ideal for kick-starting the day with gourmet French breakfasts loaded with sweet and savoury goodies. The cheery concierge team will cater to your every whim and be on hand to help with restaurant reservations, theatre and shopping recommendations, and sightseeing suggestions.
How to Get There
Without going into boring details, this was the worst ever experience at a hotel. The rooms are old, tired and without AC. They ran out of fans so some rooms didn’t even have them. The staff were very rude and often would respond with “I don’t know, I just work here”. Every request was too much trouble for them. The laundry cane back smelly and creased and breakfast was average.
The hotel located in grate location near few metro stations, near many restaurants and bars. Basically this is very small hotel who tried to exploit every available space The rooms are very small and there is no place to put the luggage.
Breakfast was very poor but I think that its the lack of space issue.
the hotel's team are very kindly and try to do the best for the guests.
My wife and myself stayed in this hotel to celebrate her 30th. Overall I was really impressed especially with the friendly front desk staff who helped us by printing out some directions. The room was fairly basic but it was just what we needed for our stay. We were on the 5th Flo and the lift was a bit clunky (heavy doors and loud) but that is the only real fault.
I would recommended for anyone travelling to Paris who wants a clean and nice hotel just to get some sleep.
If you are expecting a traditional US hotel with large rooms and many services, keep looking. If you are searching for a small Paris hotel (three rooms per floor) close to the major train stations and near many wonderful but "local" restaurants this one is a jewel. The staff is fabulous and very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but totally adequate (there is a lift although I always took the stairs up five floors). I honestly don't know about the heat or air conditioning, the weather was perfect so I just left the windows open. The breakfast buffet is complete but not exceptional. The tables in the breakfast room are very small (if you are trying to use a lap top there is very little room for your dishes or coffee). I would definitely stay here again.
This is a difficult review to write. The hotel was very nice. The front desk staff were very helpful. Fred and a very nice woman, whose name began with an "M" were very friendly. They helped with maps, metro navigation and suggestions on where to eat. They were great.
Unfortunately, I will not be staying at this hotel again.I am very reserved and careful 99% of the time. I forgot to lock my suitcase on the last day of our stay and it was a terrible mistake. One of the cleaning crew stole my credit card out of my suitcase and proceeded to make several large sum purchases. Luckily my CC company caught it right away.
When I reported my issue to the front desk I was advised to report to the police and that the manager would be in on Sunday. Sunday morning, I went to speak to the manager and was advised she was not in and would reach out to me on Monday since I was checking out. Monday came and went, and I never heard from anyone at the hotel.
It is hard to base a poor review off one bad incident. However, I felt violated. Not only did the cleaning staff steal from me, they folded our wet towels from the floor and put them back on the rack. The coffee kettle was filthy and when I went to use it, wood chips came out. The front desk replaced that, as well as our nasty towels, but that stay left a very sour taste in my mouth. Despite the helpful front desk staff, I would not recommend staying here.
