How to Get There
I had stayed the week before in a different, but similarly priced hotel near Gare de Lyon, and I was expecting this one to be similar, but it was so much better. My room was newly renovated and decorated. Tasteful, clean and with really nice touches like a funky little lamp, a coffee maker instead of instant coffee, and nice toiletries. Loved it.
It was my first visit in Paris,so you can understand why I got so excited about the location! It was very close to le marais which is the top place for a nice walk, restaurants and bars!! Also near to allot of metro stations if you want to use. We used it only 2-3 times!!
The room was perfect!nice and clean!! All the staff very kind and helpful!!! Highly recommend!!!!
Great location, silent street, but close to Metro and bus stations. Nearby lot of restaurants, cafes, shops. Clean, comfortable room. Large bed, and have a space for additional bed for child. Excellent breakfast! Kind stuff.
Quiet, beautiful...when we arrived, the elevator wasn't working. It was a bad first impression, taking the luggage for 5 flights of stairs. We went to dinner half an hour later and passed by the elevator repair guy. By the time we got back-it was fixed. Now that is an amazing thing, to have that kind of "take charge" staff working in your hotel! We were impressed.
Bed was super comfortable, the room big enough. One bad thing is that there is no shower curtain separating the bathroom from the room, so when you take a shower, you have no privacy..but it is not a deal breaker if you are there with your partner I believe. The toilet is nicely separated, mind you :)
The breakfast is charming, freshly squeezed grape and orange, wonderful pastries, good coffee and everything else you might need. You can even fry some pancakes, the battery is waiting for you.
If we were to go to Paris again, there is no way we would go anywhere else, that is for sure.
The hotel is perfectly situated in the center of the city, close to the gare de l'est train station and metro and in an area with a lot of bars and restaurants. The hotel and rooms are very clean and nicely furnished, the personnel friendly and we felt very welcome. Would definitely go back!
