Very well run hotel, but lacking in comfort

This property is extremely well kept - it seemed to have been recently renovated, furnishings are stylish, the place is very clean. I also got very polite and formal service and the breakfast was of high quality.

That said, my room was the size of a closet - hardly more than two feet from bed to wall anywhere, with other furniture squeezed in and no place to put my suitcase. My bathroom was also tiny, as were the elevators. I don't see how this could be ranked as a 5-star hotel. It didn't even have a gym. ("You can use one at our sister property 10min down the road.") And, somewhat oddly, the lobby appears to have been doused in some kind of perfume which is unpleasant.

Not family Friendly

I have booked a room with them through Agoda and the highlight particularly said 2 kids under the age of 3 years stay for free. I contacted the hotel and let them know I have a 2 year old and a 10 month old baby. They are telling me legally they can't keep more than 3 people in a room. This makes no sense! Then said I must upgrade to another room for an extra 300 Euros( which is the only way to stay there) a night because they can't accomodate a toddler( LOL ). I showed them a screenshot of my Agoda Booking and their response was they are sorry. I am not sure what the laws are in Paris but I am sure it is not illegal to keep a 10 month old baby and a 2 year old in the same room as their parents. I wish I could attach the email discussion that I had with them showing the site I booked through showed 2 kids under 3 are free and not illegal. French Hospitality at its best.

Attentive Staff

Nice boutique hotel in convenient spot. The staff is so attentive and helpful that they make you feel like the most important guest in the hotel with every encounter. If you want to feel spoiled, visit this hotel.

An utter delight

Located in what has to be my favourite area of Paris, the hotel was my home for 10 days as I finished a work project.

The junior suite was spacious, beautifully appointed and beyond comfortable. The bathroom was pristine and I especially appreciated the rainfall shower. As I spent most of my time at the hotel rather than sightseeing, the fireplace area became my favourite place to hang out, have a drink or even work.

Breakfasts were perfect and the restaurant (the new chef had just arrived), was wonderful. (The staff were also happy to recommend restaurants nearby, and each one I tried was a good choice.) As a single woman, I was delighted to feel welcome and at ease in the bar on the evenings I went down for a drink.

But probably the best thing of all was the staff. From the delightful breakfast staff, to bar staff and reception, staff members were unfailingly courteous, helpful and cheerful. Service was attentive but discrete: nothing was ever too much trouble and I was always greeted with genuine kindness. Everyone spoke excellent English.

I look forward to coming back with my husband to enjoy the hotel again, this time in company.
