How to Get There
Only the geographical situation “justifies” the 5 Stars category for this place. I defenetly couldn’t find any other reasons.
The rooms are NOT to the standard of a 5 Stars. Nicely decorate but a lot of items (mirror, safe, shower...) are defectuous. If you look a little bit into details it’s not clean... at all ! The room service is always done in a different way. They replace half of the items due in the bathroom. One night they do the room service the other not ??? So no water for the night !!! Wondering why 🧐
Before going for diner, I asked for some cotton buds to be place in my room (because not done during cleaning). Instead of bringing this in the room while I was out they gave it to me at the reception when I came back for diner 🙄 never seen such an indelicate move in a 5 Stars !
The breakfast is very light regarding the choice you have and there is no professionalisms in the service.
Last but not least the people at the reception are absolutely unfriendly and we had the unpleasant impression to disturb them every time we asked for something !

Well... one more time it’s one of those trendy chic little hotel style which I’m always curious to discover but I have to admit that very often I’m disappointed and that was defenetly the case during my stay at Hotel Montaigne 🤔
The location is great. The rooms are spacious. The decor needs a major facelift. There is no service (very few staff and the lobby is like a tiny lobby which often times is unattended). The WORST buffet breakfast you ever saw in your life. Basically nothing offered. NO BELLMAN. This is no more than a 4 Star Hotel. Maximum.
The only good thing about the hotel is it’s location. Besides that, staff not friendly. We were trying to make dinner reservation had to call them 3 times in order for them to do it.
We ask for directions poorly given. However, the location is amazing.
Rooms lack light.
Room service is not 24 hours.
Breakfast didn’t cover our expectations.
Need to improve customer service ASAP.
Stayed for two nights following a trip to Cannes, staying at the 5 Sea's Hotel. The two hotels cannot be further apart for two 5 star hotels. On arrival at Hotel Montaigne, there was no one on reception. Finally after checking in there was no summary about wi-if or services etc. The room had no tea or coffee facilities or a hair dryer. There was no information about mini bar prices. At no point in the two days were toiletries replaced, the air conditioning alert went off every 3 hours.
Finally we were charged for several mini bar items such as beer that we did not have.
We were made to feel like we were lucky to stay, we will not be coming back, even though the location is great.
At the moment you ask them to call a taxi when you check in or check out. They are at the counter sometimes you need something and there is no one in the restaurant everything very well people are very kind are aware of what you need
