Great Hotel for Paris
Reviewed 1 month ago

We stayed here for three nights for Roland Garros. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit of a walk to the metro but not too much for us elderly people. The room very good for the price and the whole area very pleasant with good brasseries and restaurants within walking distance. Thoroughly recommended.

The better end of Mercure - except for reception
Reviewed 2 months ago

On arrival at the hotel the reception staff looked mildly annoyed to see us, which is not the kind of welcome one expects from this class of hotel.
The hotel itself is pleasant and the room quiet given how close it is to the Paris ring road. Not sure how rooms looking over the atrium rather than outwards would be.

It’s only two star hotel instead. Should not stay here

The hotel is 4 star but in fact it is far below 4 star standard. The room is big but very old, the carpet is filthy. The breakfast is terrible, only few choices. The worst thing about this hotel is front desk staff. We asked them to give us a wake up call but they both forgot 2 days. We let it go the first day but it happened again we came to the reception to complain but the said we did not request. All my god. Such a liar and there was no responsibility at all. Should not stay at this hotel if you have a choice

Average hotel with below mediocre service

We reached this Hotel from 07 June through 10 June 2018.

On 07 June, we took train from Amsterdam to Paris and travelled by metro with a kid and were really tired. We asked receptionist about when the restaurants and grocery shops close in Paris as was 6 pm and she RUDELY replied that, "It's Paris, and there are restaurants opened quite late".

We also asked that we want to take city tour she would recommend and she said that use TripAdvisor. We knew that next 3 days, we are all alone and our help was Google to search nearby places.

Although Hotel is near to Eiffel tower but walking towards could be tough as it's there are many signals in between. It took around 35-40 minutes.

You can take bus number 42 which is around 15 minutes from Hotel.

The rooms are relatively big but we did not get any shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom.

The ONLY good service we got was in our check out, and receptionist was very helpful, helped us booking taxi and showed us nearby places for shopping.

A suggestion to the Hotel. Please get some good receptionists who knows how to talk politely... it's very very important.

Friendly Stay

We were a family of 6 adults traveling together, so we booked 3 rooms. They accommodated our request to be near each other. The rooms were of adequate size, although our large luggage did take up a lot of space. Their breakfast buffet was excellent, but the crowning achievement of the breakfast was the wonderful coffee machine which dispensed many different sorts of coffee (latte, cappuccino, espresso) and catered to my family's different tastes. The staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again in the future.
