How to Get There
As hotels go in Paris, the room and bathroom of this hotel is a decent size. In Paris own always almost expect to be squished in a tiny room but in this hotel it was not like that. So the rooms are ok. I would not say the place was cheap but I don't remember it to be expensive but I suppose this is all relative to the person spending. I sort of regretted not booking a suite type of room as the hotel was quite enjoyable and I probably wouldn't mind paying a bit more. What is best about this hotel is that it was right in front of the Luxembourg Park, which is a gorgeous park. I was in Paris for business but got there on the weekend, so I was able to spend an afternoon at the park to see all these charming families enjoying a Sunday afternoon. They were floating boats in the large pond in the middle of the lake. And during my business meetings, the hotel was well located and it was easy to go to all my business meetings in the city. My wife was with me and we would always find a nice restaurant in the area for lunch and dinner. Also my wife enjoyed herself walking and shopping a bit in the area near the hotel. The hotel itself is not a large one, so you will not find a large lobby or lots of facilities but it is a very decent hotel. The staff were very nice, I cannot really recommend the breakfast but if you were in a hurry and not too picky, the breakfast is basic and will do the job. I ate most of my breakfasts outside the hotel when I did my morning walk so that is something I would recommend since there are a lot of choices nearby. I enjoyed this hotel and definitely in my next trip to Paris I will book this hotel, this time it'll be a suite.
Quiet, well appointed rooms, and just a short, enjoyable walk down to Rue Saint-Germain and one of the nicest neighborhoods in Paris.
The staff is helpful and the breakfast room has everything you could need to get your day going.
Would certainly stay at this hotel again
This hotel is so beautiful and in a perfect location either for walking or for reaching 4-5 metro stops on several different lines. It's in the Latin Quarter but just a few blocks away from the noise. It felt safe and welcoming. The staff were so wonderful, kind, and happy the whole time. Our room was beautiful and big.
Advance research is key to any hotel experience. Thus our six night stay at the Hotel Luxembourg Parc was excellent in all respects. This is a small 4 star hotel situated in a very quiet Left Bank St. Germain residential neighborhood directly across the street from Luxembourg Park. Four stars is an accurate reflection of one's experience here.
Excellent dining, shopping, entertainment, and sightseeing opportunities are within short waking distance - check out the map location. Greeting, check-in, and assistance with luggage was genuinely warm and welcoming. Public areas include beautifully furnished cozy bar with wonderful drinks and great conversation with other guests, restful library/sitting room, and small bright cheery breakfast room. Stayed in the junior suite which was equally well furnished with separate sitting room, king bed, great linens, and huge full marble bath. Housekeeping throughout the hotel is excellent!! Staff in all areas most polite and professional. Breakfast area is small if many guests arrive at same time but breakfast offerings are bountiful and very tasty. Front desk staff fully prepared to provide accurate and insightful information for all interests. Look no further for lodging in this area - just book early and enjoy.
Taking my husband to Paris for his first time as a gift for his retirement, I fretted that Paris would be a sensory overload for a man who has spent a lifetime working while European travel was but a far removed dream.
I wanted to find a small hotel in a peaceful and quieter area of this massive city of 14 million.
I did so with Hotel Luxembourg Parc.
I had even prearranged with the hotel to send a driver to meet us at the airport ( for an additional charge of 120 euros in cash) who made our arrival so easy as we came in from the states having flown overnight, arriving in the wee hours on the morning of a busy workday. Traffic in Paris is a nightmare so having a driver met us, helping with our luggage then driving us into town was a blessing.
I had also asked the hotel to suggest their favorite restaurants within walking distance and then asked if they could call for reservations.
It is a delightful boutique hotel located in the heart of the 6th arrondissement.
A charming hotel full of antique furnishings offering a welcoming and warm ambiance.
The staff goes out of their way to be welcoming and helpful.
Christian was a man who wore many hats as he ran the desk and manned the bar offering us a wide array of wines, champagnes as well as cocktails.
I found our room a bit warm despite an AC unit so when I mentioned it to Chrisitan, he sent us a fan as well as a technician to thoroughly checked out the AC.
It never really cooled off to my liking (being from the South, AC is crucial) but had the weather been a bit cooler, having the windows open at night would have been great. Our room overlooked an interior courtyard so I think rooms that faced outward might have had a better chance of a cooler breeze from outside but since it didn't face the street, our night sleeping was delightfully quiet.
The room was spotless and decorated beautifully, and for Parisian standards, rather spacious. The bathroom was
modern, all marble and made me feel quite special.
The breakfast room is light and airy with a limited offering but of course, the French are not like Americans when it comes to a hearty breakfast---
If you want a hotel that gives attention to detail and attention to its guests, then Hotel Luxembourg Parc is the place to be!
