How to Get There
I spent my last 3 days of my France holiday in Paris. It was a great way to unwind, especially staying at this little gem of a retreat. I loved staying at this hotel as its just a stone's throw from the Louvre and Tuileries Gardens, and the metro is a 2 minute walk away. The staff at the front desk were so gracious and kind and made this gal from Canada feel very welcome:) My room was clean, had a comfortable twin bed, a good size shower and a separate toilet. It was very hot in Paris (July heatwave) and I appreciated the air conditioning in the room and hotel. I enjoyed the breakfast which was served until 10 am I believe, which I appreciated since I'm not an early riser. I would love to come back and stay at this hotel again - its in a perfect location (just off Saint Honore Street) so its quiet but still near a busy road so it feels very safe walking around in the evening. I love Paris, and I love this hotel and I can't wait to come back and stay here again!!
It was a very pleasant surprise to find this hotel. This hotel is walking distance to many tourist attractions in Paris (like the Louvre, Musee D'Orsey, Toulleries Garden). You may have to walk a distance (25-35 minutes) to the Eiffel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe, but hey, this city was made for walking. It was also a great way to see the small stores and restaurants along the way.
The rooms are not as big as American hotel rooms but it is good enough for a family of four (with a 12 and 15 year old children). The beds are comfortable and the towels are very thick. The room has a flat panel TV with one English-speaking news channel (still not bad). They have a nice breakfast buffet (extra charge). I also need to commend the young lady who cleaned our room...excellent work!
The hotel is also in a very safe neighborhood. Down the street, there is a grocery store where you can buy water. There are several bakery stores and french restaurants (very nice) near the hotel .
But the treasure of this hotel comes from the hotel reception desk lead by Francois. He is very helpful, very accommodating, and very friendly. He has an excellent command of the English language. So if you do not speak French, this will not be a problem. Francois was able to tell us that the Louvre tickets we purchased online can only be accessed through the pyramid entrance. He was also able to tell us how to get to the Versailles using the train. He is very knowledgeable about Paris.
I highly recommend going to this hotel. It's magnifique!
This is a great little hotel, 18 guest rooms over 5 floors, on a quiet one-way street. Later on I learned that this was 1 of the best neighborhoods in Paris. We walked everywhere, less than 10 minutes to the Louvre or the Seine River, 45 minutes to the Eiffel Tower or the Arc De Triomphe, 20 minutes to Notre-Dame Cathedral. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant on the premises but breakfast is available for 15 euros per person, assorted pastries, cheeses, coffees, yogurt, fruits... There are plenty of great restaurants within 10 minutes walk. The queen size bed (they call it a double bed) was very comfortable. Bath towels were thick and soft. There was no dresser in the room, just a rack for the suitcase and a small area with about 8 clothes hangers, but this was no problem. The elevator will hold 2 people a 1 suitcase snugly. But again, no problem. My only issue was the extremely small soap bars which provided very little sudsing. This was a very little problem, if you can call it that. We were extremely happy with this choice of hotel and intend on staying here again on our next visit to Paris.
I loved this little hotel. The location was great. A close distance to tourist attractions, restaurants, cafes and Metro. Staff was very friendly. The room was great with a comfortable bed. Free wifi worked great. The room was exactly how expected. It was a truly single room. Just enough room for one person, which is exactly what I needed. I would absolutely stay here again.
Excellent little hotel with super friendly staff. Prime location within walking distance of Metropolitain for fast access to anywhere in the city as well as many other locations by foot. Room was perfect and clean. Breakfast looked delicious but we opted to stroll to local cafes for coffee and croissants. Will definitely be booking again.
