Good Location-But insist on a Licensed Taxi!

Stayed at this Hotel for 3 nights prior to a one week River Cruise & a further 4 nights on our return to Paris.
The Hotel is in an excellent location for Pont Neuf, The Louvre & the Tuileries with Notre Dame also not too far away. The Eiffel Tower & the Arc De Triomphe are some distance away, but the Metro station is nearby.
The Breakfast area was nice & had a good selection available- however, on a few mornings due to its size, you had to wait for a table but never for long. The room for a capital city was not a bad size and we had upgraded thinking it may be better. Although it gave us a little more space, we did not have a wardrobe, cupboard or drawers to store our clothes, just a small rail behind a mirror with a few hangers. Therefore, this hotel is only suitable for short stays.
We thought that the front desk staff were friendly, but fell foul when we asked to book a taxi in order to transfer us to a Cruise Ship. The member of staff said they had an arrangement with a private company-need I say more-yes, we did pay well over the odds for this service. On top of paying over the odds, we crossed one bridge three times & another twice as the driver couldn’t find the ship location, saying he had been given the wrong address. Yes the car was very nice, but the scam leaves a bad taste plus the time taken was over one hour for a twenty minute trip. Moral of the story- insist on a licensed taxi as we did use these a number of times, finding them to be honest & reasonable

Great stuff. Can't say the same about the room

First of all the room was looking different from the photos we booked. Second the room was looking a little bit old and not so clean. The location was excellent and the stuff very polite and helpful..

Perfect loaction, safe and english speaking staff

Although we only used the hotel for a base to leave our things and sleep and was out during the days, we had the best time! The room was cosy and felt safe, it was so romantic for our anniversary! Without a doubt will stay here when we go to paris again because it is such good value for money considering the location is so close to attractions. Really easy to get the bus or metro to other landmarks, but is in best location for the Louvre Museum.
