Great room, very average service at the reception desk

This hotel could get a five star rating if it was not for the lack of courtesy, friendliness, efficiency of the reception desk. Let’s start with that: they could not find the booking made online. Instead of being apologetic and friendly, in a typical French way they assume you have not made the reservation. You are awfully thirsty and ask for a glass of water while they’re searching your booking (that they are convinced you have not made) and they tell you you have to pay for that water.....????
The hotel is right in the centre of Paris, just outside Strasbourg St Denis subway station (line 4,8 and 9), there’s a great brasserie (l’amour vache) as you get out and cross the boulevard. The room is spacious and nice. There are two pairs of slippers but only one bathrobe, not sure why... No bathtub, however a big shower.

Friendly staff, querky hotel

Wanting to stay somewhere a little different and have that paris feel without the paris price. This place has that. Amazing staff who are extremely helpful. Speaks English and meny other languages.

Amazing loacation. Metro near by. Yes theres a few odd people in the streets, but its a city after all.

Rooms are great. Aircon works. All tidy and no imperfections with the rooms and bathroom. BEDS ARE SO COMFY!!

Would recommend to anyone

Normal hotel compared to other Paris hotels

At one hand location is good as most of popular places are in walking area. However, the place feels dirty and not safe, lots of prostitutes and suspicious people hanging near the hotel. We ordered most spacious room available (suite) and it was just ok, not too big, had a nice balcony though. The view from the windows was not good. The ceiling of the room was so low that it feeled like being in the matchbox. I hit my head couple of times, although I am not very tall. Room cleaning was good. Breakfast was ok. Most disappointing thing was that their was no mattress in the baby cot that we ordered long before our arrival. There was dozens of towels in it instead. We asked for mattress for several times and finally they put something in it, as it appeared that they did not have the mattress for baby cot. Reception was very friendly, but we received "I don't know" answers on most of our questions.

Fantastic stay. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Our room on the top floor was exactly what we were hoping for and the balcony was amazing. We loved the added touches including the robes. Hotel is also in a fab location.

Good location, perfect service

Everything was up to our expectations. The hotel is quiet yet close to everything we were looking to visit. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Our room (with a king bed) was a bit tight for the 2 of us with our 2 (big) suitcases, but still comfortable once we got organized. The AC was so welcome as it was so hot in Paris when we stayed.
