How to Get There
Everything was just perfect. The personal was very very gentle. The room was clean with a romantic atmosphere. The place of the hotel is beautiful an peaceful. We enjoyed it a lot and we hopefully will return.
This hotel is in a lovely location and the staff were very nice. However the room was looking tired and was dusty in areas. It was also a little dark and claustrophobic but I appreciate this is partly due to the age/style of the hotel.
The biggest disappointment was the breakfast.
When we arrived all tables had been left dirty and not yet cleared away.
The buffet had not been replenished and we were left with a few sad looking pastries and some scraps of bread. No juice and it took a while to get a hot drink. The lady running the breakfast was lovely but obviously couldn't cope on her own. We had paid extra for breakfast to be included, around 20 euros I believe, but unfortunately it was not worth it and had I not have already paid, I would have gone elsewhere.
I also want to mention, if you want a cappuccino, it is an extra 5 euros which is ridiculous if you are already paying 20+ euros for a breakfast.
I usually love Mr and Mrs Smith hotels but I just don't think this one is of their usual boutique, high standards.
We celebrated a birthday in Paris, including a lot of museum visits, and strolling through the city. The hotel is very nicely placed with our room going onto Place du Pantheon with little traffic, yet very good access to public transportation like busses, metro and RER.
Staff was very helpful to make this a very enjoyable stay. The room with balcony was a very nice treat.
This may become our standard hotel in Paris.
