Christmas in Paris
Reviewed 4 hours ago

Hotel Le Walt was an exceptional hotel. From the moment from check in to check out the staff was nothing but friendly and helpful. Our room was ready two hours early, the gentleman who checked us in was quick to ask if we had any questions and was super helpful with helping us navigate the metro. With the protests happening on Saturday a young woman helped with recommendations on where to go to avoid being caught up in any of the events. She politely drew on a map of where to go and where not to go. She also gave a fabulous recommendation on what Christmas market to go to on Friday night. The room was clean and well kept. We had a partial view of the Eiffel Tower. Would 100% recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again!

My husband and I spent 4 nts in Paris Nov 28-Dec 3. It was our first time in Paris. Searching for the perfect hotel was very important to me. I wanted a French looking boutique style hotel that was a 4+ star property, was in a very good location and close to the Eiffel Tower. We were an approximate 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and in a very good location. I can't say enough how very, very pleased I was with our whole experience at the hotel. The room, amenities and and nearby restaurants and other conveniences were perfect! The hotel staff (particularly Laurent and Lucas) were so very friendly and helpful with suggestions on where to go and how to use the metro, with up to date information about local happenings and anything else we could have needed. The wonderful man who cleaned our room was so very sweet and did a really good job. We loved having a supermarket directly across the street from the hotel where we picked up fresh croissants, pastries, fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice in the morning for breakfast. The hotel offered breakfast however we preferred and opted to experience Paris with the locals and went to the market. Our hotel room window didn't have a view of the Eiffel Tower like I had wished. When we had checked in, the hotel was at full capacity and so we were told that we possibly could change our room the next morning once people checked out. I was a little disappointed at first but once I saw our room, I was VERY happy with it We had a wonderful view of the front of the hotel and streets and I loved the huge windows where we would see people walking by. It was really nice!!! The hotel offered a very considerate option of utilizing one of their smartphones already located in the room where you could use it for local calls, maps and free wifi during your stay and could take with you when exploring the streets of Paris. You could also purchase tour tickets on it however the front desk concierge also provided this service as well and were great! We found the beds to be very comfortable, the rooms were fairly quiet from outside noise and the pictures that you see on their website is exactly the way it is! Very chic, clean and warm! Thank you, Merci and thank you again to the wonderful staff at Hotel Le Walt! You all made our first stay in Paris a very lovely and memorable one and we hope to return soon to Paris where we will DEFINITELY stay with you again!

very good location, for the right price

A friend and I stayed at Hôtel Le Walt for one night on our last night to Paris. Overall, I was shocked at the price, but the location was great.

Originally, I was not booked at this hotel. We used the app Hotel Tonight to book at their sister hotel (Derby) for around $110 the night before we intended to stay there. When we got to the Derby hotel, there was a problem with the room and we could not stay there, and the staff handled it great. They called us a cab and said they’re sending us to their sister hotel (Hôtel Le Walt) and putting us in the nicest room to make up for it. Little did I know that the location was so close to the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides and École Militaire. Even more so, I was shocked that they listed the rack rate at something like €450. Granted it was August and I'm sure there was a better deal online, but still! That was certainly not what we paid. When we got to the room, it was even more of a shock because for that money, the room is basically tiny. It wasn’t cramped or anything, but I would say that a Holiday Inn in the United States has more room by 50% and the bathroom at this hotel, and this was the nicest room. I can’t even say how small the regular sized rooms are.

But overall, the gesture was very nice, and this is a smaller hotel. The breakfast area is also small, but there are so many little coffee shops around here that we did not see the need to be at the hotel breakfast.

The location let us make the most of the day before we headed to the airport. They offer an airport service for a cost, and it is a good deal, not gouging, since you can schedule it for an exact time whenever you would like, and they normally show up early anyway. The car service is better than a taxi because it’s almost like an Uber black car service.

Overall, I don’t know if the rack room price that was listed was what their actual prices on Expedia and sites like that, so my recommendation would be based on getting a good deal. If your aim is to see the Eiffel Tower and be in this section of Paris, this is an absolutely great location and I recommend it.

Wonderful Experience

My new wife and I stayed at the hotel on our honeymoon and we were very impressed. We stayed in the Classic Eiffel Tower room with a wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower. The room was a little small but with a surprisingly big bathroom. The best parts of the hotel was how centrally located it was and the staff. I had interactions with about 5 of the staff members of the hotel while we were staying in Paris and every one of them went out of their way to be kind and helpful to us.
We will definitely be staying at this hotel again the next time we are in Paris.

Great hotel in great location

We have stayed at the Le Walt twice in the past 6 months. We used to live in the neighbourhood and wanted a hotel near all our friends and favourite restaurants. The Le Walt is perfect. But it is also perfect for first time visitors. Many tourist attractions are within walking distance, the metro (subway) is right at the door and there are buses as well. But everything about the hotel is wonderful from the welcome at the recpetion desk to the comfort of the rooms, especially the great beds to Anne-Marie’s superb breakfast. Another plus is the cell phone, the Handy, that you get to use while staying there. No need to use your home cell phone, you can call almost anywhere with their loaner. We’ll never stay anywhere in Paris but at the Le Walt!
