How to Get There
Excellent hotel, very comfortable and homey feel, great location and wonderful staff. My daughter and I stayed stayed in this hotel for eight days recently. It’s a fabulous place in the 7th arrondissement walking distance from many of Paris’s major highlights. Very convenient location as there are several restaurants, supermarkets in its neighborhood and also the lovely Rue Cler ( with its fruit /flower shops and several Café). École Militaire Metro Station is next door.
I was impressed with the cleanliness, comfort of this smallish hotel. The staff are really helpful and efficient. Would like to make a special mention of Audrey at the front desk and Marie-Anne at the restaurant who made Breakfast time a wonderful experience! Would definitely be coming back.
I have traveled to many countries during the recent years so I have an idea of how a 4 star hotel should look like. I have never encountered such a terrible hotel/customer service.
My husband and I planned this trip and made Paris our last stop. The pictures on the hotel website looked decent with an early-booking discount so we chose to stay in one of their “CLASSIC ROOM.” We understand there’s always some variations between the owner’s pictures and the actual rooms, but what we got was DIFFERENT. We were led to a room in the courtyard on the ground level. We noticed the room was nicely designed for disabled - we didn’t request it. The bathroom was totally different from any pictures online. The shower wasn’t separate from the sink and toilet. PLUS the sink plug was clogged. I washed my hands and the water didn’t drain. I called the receptionist and he said OK he would call the technician TOMORROW. On top of that, the room was extremely warm - too hot. We turned the fan to the highest and we couldn’t feel anything unless we put our hands a inch from the fan. The receptionist suggested to open the “window” - which is the door to the hotel patio, a few feet from where other people sit down for drink/food - no privacy. I immediately requested a room change because the room was not anything I would book if the website showed the actual/real photos and honest description. I even told them I would rather get refund and go somewhere else. The front desk apologized and promised to move us upstairs before noon on the next day because the hotel was already fully booked. He was nice to us so I accepted and stayed.
On the next day, I tried to remind them the room change on my way out, the front desk of another shift simply said there’s no room available and she couldn’t help. We talked back and forth over and over. She said yea there were three empty rooms but they were executive rooms. Therefore we couldn’t use them. I had no intention to get upgraded but it’s not my problem that you couldn’t provide a acceptable one to your customers. The manager came to talk to me and insist that our room was a classic room. Especially after promising a room change, their attitude was unbelievable. I insisted to get refund for the following night and rejected their offer to move to another hotel of their own.
On top of everything, the bed was also terrible. I felt bad for the money I paid them for a 4 star room. It was nice of them to have a room for people with special needs. But it shouldn’t be classified with other regular rooms. Or else they should post pictures of the actual rooms. I am very truly disappointed. I have noticed there’s a welcome note in the room with my last name on it. I have no idea of how they assign rooms to each customer. I am grateful that I decided to leave.
First visit to Paris was made all the more wonderful by the service we received at Hotel Le Walt. From the first greeting at the door to Anne-Marie’s personal attention at breakfast- even showing us how to expertly open her perfect soft-boiled eggs; all the attention to detail really made a difference. Thank you.
Hotel Le Walt is central and very attractive located to start your journey in Paris. This is really a big plus. Unfortunately little disappointed about the bed experience, for a tall person 1,92cm the bed was definitely way too small, unless you like stacking out feet. 😊✌️ (My chosen room was executive). The second disappointing point was the thermostat controller, I guess it was broke because I could not adjust the room temperature during my stay (room was stuffy).
We have had a wonderful time in Le Walt.
The staff is very friendly. The room was cozy, clean and had a very nice Eiffel tower view, what made our stay absolutely perfect. We most definitely will return to Le Walt!
