How to Get There
I stayed here 10 years ago with my 12 year old and daughter in law, and recently returned (alone) to find this hotel the exact same quiet, elegant, clean, comfortable and welcoming place that I remembered. The neighborhood has fantastic shopping and not filled with tourists. It is a 3 min walk to the Metro. I LOVE this place!
A friend and I stayed at the hotel and had a great experience with all of the staff. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable (great pillows). The morning breakfast was delicious. The location was right near the metro and in a great quiet neighborhood as well. Would stay there again!
First, we checked in and the hotel front desk man that was working was incredibly kind. Something had gone wrong with their system but he went above and beyond to place us and it was NOT a big deal. We weren't upset and honestly we were just talking it through and he made sure it was taken care of. Super kind. The first day there we had a bump in the road for my parents who were traveling in to Paris from Chicago that day and long story short - I needed to find a printing shop. There was another man talking to the front person working the desk and I thought it was just a friend coming in to chat and visit. I told the front desk that I needed the shop and the man who came up to chat ended up offering to walk us there! SO NICE. Also, it turns out that the man who walked us to the print shop is another hotel staff member who works the front desk - as we found out the next day.
Breakfast: Super good! There is a small selection of cereal and a nice selection of sweet breaks (with jelly, without fruit fillings, croissant, white bread etc) and the coffee was made fresh to order. We also had freshly squeezed orange juice. What I loved about the breakfast was the small little brick breakfast/dinning area downstairs. Super cozy and dimly lit that just made the atmosphere. It was also the same woman working and made all means to order as well. Very fresh! She was so, so kind.
The hotel is definitely a boutique hotel. It has a rustic feel but honestly, its Paris. If its not rustic, are you even in Paris? The key took me a bit to learn how to unlock the room but honestly it was the smallest thing to get used to. The bathroom was clean, sheets were clean, small garden in the middle of the hotel to look at. You leave the hotel key at the hotel when you leave and honestly, it felt good to do this because my purse is always a hot mess. I felt confident that the hotel was a safe place to leave my belongings. The cleaning (maid service) was always done and done well. Couldn't ask for more.
The hotel is also conveniently located one block from the train station. As you walk to the train, there are several bars and coffee shops - all of which we tried (on the corners of the main street literally in front of the train) and were amazing with friendly staff.
The hotel was a great find and a lovely boutique hotel. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and such a small community of staff that by the time we left, we felt like we had become quite familiar with them and it gave us a sense of safety and welcome.
Overall, friendly and helpful staff,, clean, good breakfast and great service for needs (directions, recommendations etc). We highly recommend this place.
