Very nice hotel
Reviewed 5 days ago

The hotel is located on a side street with many bars and restaurants nearby.
The room was small but comfortable.
Breakfast included in our room rate was very good. Lots of hot and cold selections .'
Hotel staff was very helpful.
It's not in a tourist area so one gets a feel of what the locals do in Paris.
Yes there are two adult sex shops on the same street but they are discreet and not at all seedy looking. Found the area to be safe and vibrant
Although we did not use public transportation hotel is very close to a major rail/metro station at Gran Montparnesse

Beware the other reviews mentioning SMELL
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I hate to give such a poor review as the room, staff and location all were very nice. The whole building smells god awful disgusting and permeates into your room. Incredibly off putting especially given their rates. They claim the smell is from the city, however, I should have looked back through reviews this claim has been made for over 2 years now and nothing else in the area smells even remotely as bad as this place. Believe the other reviewers - if the constant smell of sulfur will bother you look elsewhere! 2 stars since I can give credit where it’s due - the staff was very pleasant and the room was very clean and comfortable (aside from the smell). I personally would not stay here again or recommend based on that alone.

Excellent Hotel Close to Gare Montparnasse

We had an early morning train from Gare Montparnasse, so we wanted to be near the station. This hotel was a five minute walk. Lovely little hotel in a charming area of neighborhood restaurants and cafes. Lovely rooms, modern bathrooms, and helpful staff. Good value. Would definitely stay again.

everything depends by the rate

My daughter and I decide to spend a weekend in Paris, or better...we decided together we need some time together and then, she decided the destination.
Paris is not the best idea for three days of relax anyway, she is 14 and does not need relax anymore.
We decided for this accomodation due to a very good offer and because was launched as a four stars hotel....ok, I cannot assess how an accomodation could earns stars, but hotel le M was not exactly I was expecting for.
For sure it was clean, tidy and well managed at the end.
The location is superb, because is something both not central, nor periferical... if you wish, you can visit mostly by walking all the most famous Paris attraction, otherwise you have the tube station pretty close and one of the biggest Paris train station pretty close as well...., but, to be true honest, if you decide to use your legs, I have to inform you that the suggestion above cost me 20 km walking the Saturday..., but we did it without any serious issues and without special shoes.
The good news is the hotel serves meal into the room (till 10 pm...better 9:45...), and it faces in front of a street full of restaurants and bistrots, it means that at the end of a hard touristic day, you can easily have a sincerly good meal and some drinks without any stress...everything is available in few meters.Honestly, if I it have had to pay the full rate I would been not such satisfied, but for what I charged on my card it was a very good solution.
ask for a room in one of the corners....the rooms which face in front of the street could suffer for the night of Paris. I have been given to a side room, but in front of a theatre and, on sunday mornig, probably because of some auditions, some dozens of guys were attending there in the very early morning (very early!) and their talks were loudly, but they were guys and I was too tired

This has to be one of the nicest boutique 4* hotels in the area. The rooms are a good size, well kitted out and the beds are so comfortable

On arrival you get a great friendly welcome and the breakfast buffet is more than sufficient.

This was my 3rd visit and I will be back!!
